With regards to sculpt, it's interesting to see the two together, unpainted. You really get an appreciation of the strengths (and weaknesses) of the two approaches.

The temple and the ears (elf like shaped) on the SS one is more accurate to AG in ANH.

Hmmmm... HT is closer than I thought when you see the sculpts side-by-side like this unpainted. But Sideshow (Trevor) is still the clear winner.

I think rounding the eyes and squaring the beard would help greatly. It looks like HT was going for a stern, squinty look.

I think the SS head with a repaint, with the HT remaining would be the ultimate Obi Wan. Not sure bout the inner robe though, it looks like a see through material on the HT one. Looks like something Rey or Padme would wear instead of Obi Wan

Using this AG reference and Ahab's unpainted sculpt pics I see more AG in HT's than SS's.

That Greco statue beard on the HT one doesn't help, either.

The SS one may be less detailed but it captures AG significantly more.

I think the ss obi wan outfit is better then the hot toys version and that includes the ss outer robe as well

Any pics comparison? From the pics of the SS I've seen so far the fabric is a tad too thick for it to drape naturally at 1/6 scale.

well I don't know about the outer robe. but the inner robes look better and more like it did in the movie

Anyone that owns both will tell you that this is not true. Inner robes both have their cons, but the SS outer robe is crude by comparison.

well like I said above I like the inner tunic better on the ss. it does not look to thin and cheap looking

Its thin, but it's not cheap looking. It looks sheer and delicate material, not something Obi wan would choose to wear.

I have both and I like the sideshow garments better and with the Hot toys outer robe it looks even better

I like the HT sculpt. I think it would have been better if the beard was sculpted like the SS one.
