There's a rumor right now that Rian Johnson will feature Hayden in Episode VIII. Are you going to boycott Episode VIII?

Why would I do that? What have I boycotted? As you said, that's a rumor. Got a long time to see it come to pass. And NOW suddenly you're going to use "rumors" to support your argument? Wouldn't let me do that.

I've said many times, there's lots of OT love going on right now and the PT is very un-hip... but like all things, give it time. The PT will swing back in popularity. And likely as a result of the OT saturation now.

No one is ignoring the PT, they're just focusing on the OT right now because it has a more direct connection to TFA.

The PT is getting re-released right alongside the OT, and the Lucasfilm Story Group continues to incorporate elements from the prequels into the books and comics, which are now equivalent to the films as canon.

I feel like his inclusion will just shatter the hopes and dreams of all the PT haters.

It will. Will be nice to see Hayden back as Anakin if this rumor comes true.

I just wanted to know if said hypothetical would ruin the movie for you. There's people that cringe at the very mention of anything PT in the new trilogy.

I for one hope there's plenty of connections in the new trilogy to all the previous episodes. I'd also kill for an Obi-Wan solo film starring McGregor set ten years before ANH.

Speaking of prequel elements, I believe this thread should be "sterilized" of PT v OT debate, the same way Geonosis was sterilized by the Empire after the Clone Wars!

Actually, I just decided to wait for the inevitable HT Jango. See, I believe HT will eventually get to the PT.

Eventually they will. Might be a long wait for Jango though I assume when they make PT figures it will be very few. Qui-Gon, Maul, Jango, Padme, ROTS OBi and Anakin..... maybe more, but those to me are the safest bets.

No it wouldn't ruin it for me. But I admit I'm excited by the fact that there seems to be little connection for the moment. I would suspect by the time Ep. 8 comes around, they will start connecting the dots for nothing more than to open up those old films for exploitation... like with HT PT figures.

Which is precisely why Disney and all the filmmakers are "moving away" from the PT for now and making it all about the OT.

In 84 days, whatever's left in HT's stock for Kylo - will sell out. Same goes for Rey, Old Luke, Phasma, Old Han, Finn and & Poe Dameron (assuming they all get announced in the next three months).

The Force Awakens will finally surpass Iron Man as HT's most profitable line.

Outside of online forums.... how many people "hate" the PT? Seriously. I honestly don't think many do and they like the PT.

At Force Friday was talking to some guys outside waiting for the doors to open, got on the subject of the PT. One dude hated it, everyone else was content with, enjoyed it, and bought figures from it.

I think the hate is over-exaggerated.

That could work, but I don't think that there would be enough material to work with, unless he left the planet for a long stretch.

I will try. But I may have a hard time finding anyone who wants to fight the Star Wars crowds on opening night. Personally, I will be sad if I don't see it opening night.
