Re: Hot Toys - MMS??? - Spider-Man: Homecoming - Iron Man Mark XLVII? Speculation Thr

Has there been some confirmation of this ?

Besides the cover of this magazine, no... But the 47 on the cover is clearly not the power pose version. And I highly doubt they would use it on the cover with no intention of making one.

Of course I could be wrong, but why would HT draw the line at this one for making an MMS version? Especially since they don't have to make any new molds for it. It's easy money for them because Iron Man will always sell.

I'm getting this too. I am going to dump a good deal of rewards on this!

For sure, fingers crossed we get a couple Homecoming accessories rather than a straight re-paint, re-box. Not holding my breath but it would be nice.

How is that one "clearly" different?

I'm so sorry. I don't know why I was so oblivious to that

Re: Hot Toys - MMS??? - Spider-Man: Homecoming - Iron Man Mark XLVII? Speculation Thr

Trust me, HT is not in this business to save collectors money...There will be a MMS Die cast for XLVII for sure. The proper question is when will they release it? How limited will the availability be and with what (if any) accessories it came with...The DC XLVII is going to be only a repaint of DC XLVI, HT has cornered the repaint IM market...so it is not "if" but "when"...

But it's not. Compare the power poses side to side, they're way different. Edit.. okay, the figure on the magazine cover doesn't look nearly as different as the power pose. That's odd.

i'm torn. i really love the colorpattern and i like the Mark XLVI suit, BUT again spend money for nearly the same figure?
i own not even have the mark II because of the same case :-/

Rather own the 46 as it pairs with that tremendous WM MkIII

It's the wrong suit to try the Ultimate colorway on. Maybe the original, less refined suits would have worked better. Right now the colorway on the sleek design just looks lazy and unfinished.

I agree with this. I think the color scheme could work but on this suit it just looks slapdash and unfinished.

I'm not 100% on this, but if you mean the original Mk46 power pose promo/pre-order pictures, I believe someone once said that there were some minor errors on it that were corrected for the final product. Not sure if that means anything to what you're saying, but I assure you 46 and 47 are the same armor design with a different paint-job. If the abdomen area looks different (like i've seen someone say), it's because there is no color variation on 47 like there is on 46.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS??? - Spider-Man: Homecoming - Iron Man Mark XLVII? Speculation Thr

I don't see how they wouldn't release an MMS for the 47. It's just the 46 halfway done lol

There was always a 0.0% chance that they wouldn't be making a MMS version of this, even before the power pose was announced. The only real mystery is whether it will be die cast or not. I'm betting it will be.

There is little chance they'd bother to make molds for plastic parts when they could just re-use the die-cast molds they used for 46*. I'll be very shocked if it's not die-cast.

*That is assuming they cannot use the same molds for die-cast and plastic.

Yep that's what I think. Slight chance it will be plastic, but almost certainly die cast.

As I mentioned, it's just the 46 halfway done. The 46 is diecast. For sure this is diecast...lol. it saves them a whole lot of money during production. Same mold, some parts painted, some parts aren't. Simple and cost-effective.
