I am glad some of you got this statue, you guys are the ones keeping hot toys profitable with its current business model of continuing invest minimal effort to rerelease the exact same statues over and over with a different coat of paint and higher prices. :clap

Then you should give us thanks.

If WE GUYS are the reason HT is profitable, WE GUYS are allowing HT to stay in business. Which means HT will be able to make other figures for YOU GUYS who hate this one.

Well, I guess we are just like those same guys who keep Hasbro in business when they buy the same star wars 3 3/4" figures with slightly different packaging (and i mean the EXACT same figures). If HT rereleases a figure (ie. Mark I) or releases a repaint of a figure (ie. Milk War Machine) all they are doing is trying to appeal to those who may not have gotten it a first time around or those who may appreciate a variant of a figure. It is the buyers choice whether or not they want to like or purchase it. But, it is not Hot Toys responsibility to release a figure that EVERY single buyer/collector will like. Personally, I'm tired of all the damn Predator figures. They are not bad, but I don't collect/buy them.
When it comes to higher prices, while I do not like the higher prices, I slightly understand it. From a business standpoint, while the molds for the figures may have already been created, the price of the raw materials may have gone up.
In the end, I'm glad they announced this specific figure as I love the paint scheme on it. Had they not announced it at all, I would have been just fine with the first release War Machine. But if I am able to afford this repaint, that does not make me a mindless buyer, but a happy collector. When you say that WE are the one keeping HT profitable, I hope you realize you are in that group as well....because when HT releases a figure you like, I'm sure you buy it, thus making HT profitable as well. While development may cost a bit less on this it is also a limited release meaning there probably wont me as many of these produced in the 1st place (atleast compared to a mass release figure such as Captain America or Superman) so HT profit margin on this may not be as great as you may think it is in comparison to mass released figure.

:lol at all the people in this thread acting like HT took a massive one in their cereal. I don't get it, it's not like you're missing out on anything when they release these types of figures. You're saving money, right? And those savings will eventually go to the figures you do want that HT is yet to release. Which they will.....in time. So why get mad? :cuckoo:

Anyway, this colorway looks like what WM should look like were he to have been in The Avengers, and that's how I'm gonna treat it. Btw, if HT decides to scrap the Stealth Mark III and instead release that colorway on the Mark VI design, it would look pretty B.A. next to this guy. I.M.O.

:exactly: +1 on Stealth Version using Mark VI armor.

Is that from sideshow?

Cancelled. I was able to pick up the original War Machine sealed for $215, so I don't need this.

So is this figure supposed to be limited in quantity somehow or the 'special' part of the figure is just that he's a repaint and not exclusive somehow...?
