You can definitely sell that head later on.

I never part my own stuff out so I can't offer price advice but loads of others do as you'll see here in the FS section or if you search eBay you can compare the going rate for them.

The longer you hold onto it the better the asking price you can get as they become more rare ;)

No offense to your thinking but I think it's already enough of a homage to the old suit. Why does everyone want it to look like that suit? The new one has a hex arc window, similarly designed shoulder armor and the red and silver livery. If they made him exactly like the original one, he'd look like Colossus.

None taken. Because I'd wager that most people who started collecting and reading the Iron Man comic in the 80's.. this was their first suit and it's the "real" Iron man to them.

Colossus?

Anyway.. It's a fine design and it looks great but I do feel the legs are way too red. It's a little too uniform and needs more contrast.

It is the Silver Centurion.. not the Red Centurion with Silver highlights.

Sorry if I got a bit carried away while referencing Colossus but those silver arms and legs with the torso and pelvic area done in red gives off a similar vibe. I understand that there isn't a whole lotta silver on this 'Silver Centurion' but it's just a nod to the old suit. I doubt the design team gave much thought into it :dunno

Looking at the waist and arms, I don't buy that a person can fit inside that suit. Same mistake they did with mark 3.

They all kinda look like that tho, i do think something is off with the proportions on this one tho

Which is why I only have mark 2 au version. The only one that looks plausible. Though mark 4 and 6 look plausible as well, but just can't be bothered to get them.

To be fair, it could be the camera's lens distortion that made it look slightly off proportion-wise. But the arms really look way off.

photos can be deceiving. NOTHING like an in hand inspection.

That's what I was trying to point out. But my point regarding man can't fit inside suit stands because I've inspected most of the released Iron Man because me mate, a huge fan of the series, has them all apart from Mark 1 (not an Iron Man figure in his book apparently, strange but nice bloke). And they all have that problem apart from the ones I've already mentioned.

the way i see it, they're not real. as long as they are appealing and fun, i will continue to enjoy the hobby. once i stop having fun, why spend the bucks?

:lecture Fair point. I think most people here agree with you.

But what got me into collecting HT figures is their proportion and attention to detail. But for me (emphasis on the "me" part) the Iron Man line has failed to deliver believable proportion, except maybe mark 1 but I've never seen one in person. It's my OCD I guess :cuckoo:

but since you are the one spending the money, that's your prerogative. every collector has different tastes and levels of enjoyment.

Anyone have pics of the suit in action in the movie? I can't find them anywhere. From what I remember, weren't the shoulder pads pointed more up than out sideways?

I actually found Centurion and HB to be the most proportioned armours till now. Mark I looks great as there is a TT inside. If only HT made the rest of the armours like that, we would have had a pretty awesome line up.

Keep in mind the shoulders are bigger than most other Iron Man pieces. It's hiding a good bit of the upper arm.
Also it's a prototype.
