doing it...for all of us
I see the additional arm is ONLY just part of the set+figure
Bishart, i hope you manage to find one at that price. Personally i still think thats still to high, you would still have to consider the shipping cost. But hey, if you can flip the bill then go for it man.
people need to stop being ok with monger at 500. thats insane. hes no tumbler.
400 tops.
Says who?
I'd rather have a gorgeous & HUGE show stopper like the Iron Monger on display than a batmobile variant in my collection, and people are paying $1,000 for the Tumbler on the secondary market as seen here:
https://completed.shop.ebay.com/i.html?LH_Complete=1&_trkparms=65%253A15%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1&rt=nc&_nkw=hot+toys+tumbler&_dmpt=Diecast_Vehicles&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_sop=16&_sc=1
im talking about amount of plastic, size, weight functions.
and you cant base it off of what the tumbler goes for at scalpor prices, to pay 500 for the monger right out of the gate is already scalpor prices, so basically youre alright getting scalped by hot toys?
why would you want to pay that much. why wouldnt you hope its less?
i agree, hes a character i want, and i know hes like, your favorite, but dont be ridiculous. why would you justify them screwing you?
Nobody wants to pay that much, I'll take him for free believe me.
I'm not being ridiculous I think, if people are willing to pay a certain price for him - which is the vibe I'm getting here - than that's what he is worth. If he is priced at $400 and the majority opinion is that he's too costly & they pass, then obviously that is not his worth. That being said i believe he will sell like hot cakes priced anywhere from $400 - $500.
Hot Toys are becoming a rich man figures, and even Sideshow is jacking up there prices. I don't know if they live in a cave, but the economy in the US is not that great and these figures are "TOYS" and when you JACK up the price on everything the little guy that would buy 5 or 6 figures a year will disappear. I love Hot Toys as much as anyone here, they are all over my living room, but with the announcements of figures and the prices that should be some April Fools joke has turned me off in a BIG way!!! Now they are just being greedy. I look to the future and I see myself moving into something else to spend my money on. It's crazy, I the company that would get my money every time, has in 4 days helped me reconsider future purchases unless they are priced correctly.
Poor ass people should get out of this hobby.Hot Toys is Major league now, deal with it.

i understand. but it IS deterring customers, if this was 250-275 i would have bought it this morning, and other have posted they were planning on gettign it and arent. i know thats like 5 people. but there are more who just dont come to the forums. trust me, the price hike is real.
it will sell out, it always does, because some people always pay. its just the moving on of some collectors, its evolution i guess. out with the frugal.
congrats man. if i can find it around 275 ill pull the trigger.
Make that 6 people. $360 is RIDICULOUS!!! $500 is RAPE!!! This should have been $275-$300 tops. I need an IM figure, but there's NO WAY I would ever pay that much.

its not about being rich or poor, its about paying the amount something is worth, as in a reasonable overhead of what it cost them to make, or in comparrison to past releases. and im just thinking that i cant see how this is WORTH the price tag.
Not sure if you're meaning to be or not but that was a pretty ____ thing to say bro. I mean if someone thinks this piece isn't worth it and you disagree, fine...but logically attempting to associate a persons belief in an inconsistent value with being poor is just ridiculous. Don't get me wrong you can think what you want...but I'd like to think the collection community is more united than simply telling someone who doesn't think a piece is worth the money poor and to get out of the hobby. I mean don't you want collecting to stay strong for years to come? To do that more people need to join the hobby as opposed to be brushed away.
