What earlier line? The T2 T-800, T2 Sarah Connor & T-1000 all use the correct font that's in the movie. Also the earlier HT lines like the Endoskeleton got the font correct.

For some it may be a minor issue. I just don't like seeing a different font used on these. It kinda gives me a knock-off feeling seeing a wrong font used.

MMS02 uses it and I'm pretty sure T1-endo also had it. BD-endo was from T2 or was it the other way around?

Anyway an earlier T1-dvd, UK-release used that exact same logo. So, I'm pretty sure that in someway it's an official logo. Just cant find the picture...

Seen here (the logo):

and if you look closely here, you might be able to see the logo on the earlier stands:

Pretty sure the logo is in someway official or the licencor would intervene.

Both figures are excellent representations of the character, Hot Toys has been on target with both T-2 and now T-1

The paintwork on those hi-res images is unreal. Glad we are getting these Terminator figures now instead of earlier. The quality is in incredible.

Awesome looking fig!

I hate the way people start knocking the T2 version just because something new comes along. They're equal, they're both as perfect as we'll ever get in this scale imo. Film preference is one thing but actual figure quality is the same...

Precisely what I said. However, if there's one complaint it would be the eyes. I know that it's very hard to get the eyes right, and in this case it's just not very Arnoldish. The rest of the figure is great.

Just checked my T-800 Endo and the title is from the T2 franchise similar to the T2-T-800 stand.

I wish HT would use the below title font one instead of the current one they're using in the proto pic. Gives uniformity to the HT Terminator line. Image taken from the movie intro.

Looking at the eyes on my T2 vers, the colour seems to be a lot brighter on this guy. Not a complaint or anything and its probably just the lighting anyways but its strange...

I'm not sure if I should wait for Reese, or go for this sucker. I'd only want one figure from the movie in my collection, and -in my opinion- a lot of what made it work was Beihn.

Ok. Have to admit I had my doubts, about seeing two versions, mainly because they have never re-visited an exact same character later in the MMS-line before. Have they? (Referring to MMS02 here. Dont mean simultanious announcements like all the T-600 variants, which were just Toy-fair exclusives, if I remember correctly)
But after seeing these pics... I'm kinda feeling a second release. Who knows maybe the facebook dabacle will result for them to show it sooner?

But wouldn't two Arnie's in the same MMS-line, kinda slimmer the chances of seeing an '84 Reese or a new endo?

The "Police Shootout"-version could always be a DX? But what to put in a DX package, if the second costume is already in use.
... an endo maybe? Sounds a bit too expensive, doesen't it?
Ofcourse a new endo would be a re-visit too... but didn't HT already kinda hint somewhere that they would be re-doing it? Was it in a Milk magazine article or something like that...

EDIT: oh yeah, they revisited P2 -> BD P2, basicly the exact same character. The BD aspect was just an excuse wasn't it... kinda makes my point irrelevant.

not to forget the John Connor from Terminator Salvation.

As for this figure, it looks brilliant, but i would have wished an other face expression. Sure he doesn't make any different expressions, but one a bit more angry, like when he want to shoot sarah connor at the disco. Having all the T800 Arnies with absolutely the same expression would be a BIT boring :D

I also would have wished that there would be the police station costume. Now i don't know which version i should buy. Would have loved two figures, but money is a bit short.

I totally agree with this.
