I won't complain, it cost me $23.....
Most anticipated figure of 2011 (thus far). Hoping for a February release not 3Q, But least know it is coming.....
No offense, breaker. My comment was actually based on a misunderstanding regarding the value of the pound. And surely, there is something to be said for taking care of a figure and customer service. We're lucky in the U.S., because we usually don't have to pay customs fees (I have never had to). But I know guys in Europe don't have that luxury.I pay all the shipping fees, custom fee, VAT etc etc and would you believe it, pallet disposal fee!!
Spidey has only been live on my site for around 24hrs and I already sold a high number of units.
So I cant compete with the fellow HK seller on price but I can kick their ass on service and protection of the figure while in transit!
I actually know a few of the HK/China sellers and we always trade banter when we speak!
We work dam hard getting figs to collectors in the UK AND in the EU.....
And when I read post like the ones above it makes me slightly angry
Why's everyone complaining bout the thighs?
I just finished watching spidey 1 and 2 yesterday, his thighs when wearing the costume ARE massive! and accurate to what HT is doing to their fig.
No. Buying it means you are telling HT that they are producing the best existing version of a character. Which they are. There is no hypocrisy in finding fault with a figure but buying it anyway, because it still beats the ____ out of everything else. But as others have said, this is HT under-achieving. They can do better, and in time, they probably will. As such, this probably will not go the way of OC Bats, because I suspect HT is just gonna improve on the basic Spidey design making this more along the lines of V1 Joker. Or Sideshow T-1000.
That's why I'm taking the risk of waiting for a truly kickass Spidey. I'm prepared to miss out on this figure altogether and take the chance that HT will bring out a better one before too long. Those blasted boots.
I think we'll see some improvements to this release before it ships out.
I don't expect to see too much. The flaws would require more than, say, a sculpting tweak to fix. But yeah, some minor changes will probably be made. Hopefully toning down the whitish gray webbing, anyway.

I agree. I watched all three movies again and he has huge thighs. I think HT got the body shape pretty much spot on.
What a lot of people here doesn't seems to realized is that Spidey was quite muscular in the movies unlike the scrawny kid look common to comics.
I mean, it makes perfect sense, to do all that jumping, climbing, and swinging, you are gonna need some serious muscles to do all that.
.
This is how HT spiderman 3 should be..
