I've read a few comments about the webbing not being liked but isn't it film accurate the way it is? I thought the clearish look of it was how it is in the movie.

Just from my perspective from watching the movies, it seems to depend on the light. Sometimes it looks pretty silver, but other times it looks almost black. I prefer when it looks darker. I could be totally wrong about the color, though.

The Toyworld photoshop there looks stunning. That I grant you would be better than what we're getting. Perhaps a future Spidey, HT improves with every iteration they put out.

That train scene screengrab proves what I too have suspected about the thighs - they're fine as they are. Also it has really made me want to watch Spiderman 2.

SM2 is my favorite of the three.
It would be awesome if HT could add some definition to the base body for Spidey too but that type of change probably won't happen.

Yeah, I was thinking it was silverish to clear. More along the lines of how actual spider webbing looks.

I've actually been back-n-forth about the webbing on the figure. At first I thought HT just had the color too bright, but the more I thought about it, I don't think it'll be a problem once we have the figure in hand. The studio lights used in the HT photos and Milk Magazine shots practically drown the figure in bright white light, and the webbing reflects the light thusly.

Personally I think the webbing looks great and the only criticism I can give are nits about this figure. Really looking forward to getting him on my shelf and I can't wait to see what HT does next in the line if anything.

Why's everyone complaining bout the thighs?

I just finished watching spidey 1 and 2 yesterday, his thighs when wearing the costume ARE massive! and accurate to what HT is doing to their fig.

I agree. I watched all three movies again and he has huge thighs. I think HT got the body shape pretty much spot on.

What a lot of people here doesn't seems to realized is that Spidey was quite muscular in the movies unlike the scrawny kid look common to comics.

I mean, it makes perfect sense, to do all that jumping, climbing, and swinging, you are gonna need some serious muscles to do all that.

Not sure about all the negativity with this figure, if you have problems with it, don't buy it. Just don't be a hypocrite and buy one anyway.

Buying it just means you are telling HT that you are ok with substandard products.

I know I am getting at least two. This will go the way of OC Batman one day.

Was just about to ask for a screen cap to prove it...

He has thighs.

It appears you might be right...

This is how HT spiderman 3 should be..

Really like the eyes in the one on the right.

Thanks :hi5:

Many of my customers used to use HK sellers, and yes they are cheaper than me, I ship HT figs into the UK by the pallet load and I cant get them thru customs as gifts!!
I pay all the shipping fees, custom fee, VAT etc etc and would you believe it, pallet disposal fee!!

Spidey has only been live on my site for around 24hrs and I already sold a high number of units.

So I cant compete with the fellow HK seller on price but I can kick their ass on service and protection of the figure while in transit!

I actually know a few of the HK/China sellers and we always trade banter when we speak!

We work dam hard getting figs to collectors in the UK AND in the EU.....
And when I read post like the ones above it makes me slightly angry:gah::lol:lol:lol

:hi5:

ANYWAY, back to the Wall Crawler!!

I think your prices are great and tbh your still cheaper or the same as most Hong Kong sellers and the worry of a missing package or custom charges makes me feel at ease. The layaway option is awesome, and your bulletproof packaging and next day delivery is second to none. I used to buy off ebay but always worried how or when it would turn up but not anymore, and you get them to us as quick as buying from Hong Kong direct :D

Haha Tobey Maguire doesnt look good in the Spider-man costume, his stunt double fits it perfect though.

i have to say it again... that chunk of plastic rock is just the biggest waste of plastic ever!

cant they at least make it aesthetically pleasing? it looks so repugnant and hugely unnecessary, it's not like the figure can just stick on it. it's almost like they think they dont have enough accessories to justify this figure so they just throw that in. i rather they deduct $5-10 of the price and get rid of it. if i want an ugly rock, i'd just pick one from my front yard.

Cr's post got me thinking: Why couldn't HT have implemented magnets into the feet and figure body?

It's not as if the combo of slim TT body and spandex is that heavy. They installed some small magnets into the T-1000's torso for bullet wounds, and HT's competitors Enterbay and Triad Toys have already begun putting magnets into the feet of their figures. I think HT could have taken the next step and put magnetic plates on Spidey's ass and back. Would look cool in my display case, which has some metal on its backing.

Perhaps with some magnets embedded within, that hunk of plastic stone wall would be more useful.

Yeah, it's kind of a no-brainer there... how the hell did they expect us to use that hunk of plastic without magnets?

maybe HT will do a DX spidey someday

i'm not sure i like this whole DX thing anymore. people seem to accept ommissions in figures on the slight off-chance there'll be a DX version on the horizon. gives people hope of much better figures in the future, and in an indirect way, HT a license to disappoint or at least not overly impress with their 1st attempt.

I usually don't buy the 1st version if there might be a DX down the road
