Comic adapted movies are hit an miss. IM and TDK being exceptions not the norm.

XMO Wolverine = 1 figure
300 = 1 figure
Blade = 2 figure
Watchmen = 2 figure
Hellboy = 2 figure
The Spirit = 3 figure
Batman Begins = 3 figure

Of the above, only wolverine and batman are mainstream comics, and hot toys has evolved a lot as a company since batman begins. Wolverine only had one character design worth doing. The movie had nothing distinct design wise to latch on to.

I think they should include a second angry head with this one, instead of making another unless it's the comic style.

Crap, I was hoping for Loki or at least The Destroyer

I'd rather have these then Odin.. Hopkins as odin is the worst part about the movie IMO. ... and I also reserve the right to retract that staement after seeing the flick.

Of the same character Technically it's two with an all in one redo. Odin is a weird choice for a third and I will probably pass on him but I'm hoping for a Destroyer, I think visually its more of an interesting figure to get.

Wasn't Jor el part of that line up? Anyway I agree, Loki or Destroyer would be awesome. I am excited it may not be a one and done deal, I prefer 2 (maybe 3) characters from a film in my displays

Yeah, I must have said a few pages back...he's a great actor, but for Odin? They needed some retired Mr. Olympian to play the part.

I think Hopkins is in this flick just for marquee value.

What is in store for HT Thor line?

With news that Odin is likely next in the HT Thor line how deep does anyone think they are going to go. I would think Loki is a sure thing with the Destroyer a maybe and Sif a long shot.

IMO Thor is receiving good feedback (minus price) therefore, he may sale well enough to get Odin. However, I am not convinced Odin will sale well enough to warrant additional figures (unless the movie is a monster).

Another odd HT release choice (Odin instead of Loki or Destroyer) which reminds me of The Comedian and Silk releases which I believe killed the Watchmen line. The again The Spirit received 3 figure so who knows

You're right Darkseed. Odin sales will be much lower than Thor. No doubt Thor's nemesis would sell better. Destroyer would take a lot more engineering and would in-turn need to sell a lot more to make up for it.

I would imagine that Destroyer would be easier to make than Odin. It's basically a giant monotone robot. With Odin you get into sculpting and costume design. I'm trying to think why Destroyer would be more difficult.
