I take it back...the figure is not out of proportion at all, it is clear form this shot that Chris Hemsworth clearly does have the neck of a giraffe!

I kind of remember him being slightly broader in THOR, did he deflate a little for this? Or maybe it's just me not recalling it right. :dunno

Still, I don't think that the HS much looks like ChrisH...but it's still a beautiful figure, if it's not too expensive and I can work the FLEX magic on it I shall PO it when it's up.

I wonder if you can't just take off the rubber chainmail sleeved shirt to get that look. Hopefully you can, considering that there is a high probability the thing will deteriorate and tear sooner or later.

This is rubber? God, I am tired of the rubber from HT's. If this is rubber, and given that the headsculpt if off, easy pass.

And here's the thing: We paid $160 for the first Thor and they are going to charge $215 for the Avengers one which is pretty much the same damn figure minus the helmet. Eff that.

I'm sure you can as I don't think it's permanent much like with the last figure. I'll take my chances though as while I didn't mind the other look when watching I don't want to see it on the shelf.

You'd think HT learned their lesson after the Indy fiasco. Oh wait, that's right, every ****** on this board purchased their Indy because it was the best thing ever.:gah: No wonder HT has been getting away with this subpar quality lately. It's because enablers like you guys, especially that Karamzov guy.:lecture

I love my HT Indy. If that makes me a ******, then more power to me. :yess:

I can see the Indy rerun debate already. "Granted, he doesn't look like Hemsworth in the pictures, but he's totally awesome in-hand if watched under a maple tree during a moonless night."

I like the figure and will definitley be getting it.

But just like Hawkeye, the missed on the eyes. In this close up, I think if you look at different parts of the face individually, they are very close. But when you get to the eyes, not so much. And the eyes make the over all resemblance just ok.

I think what really throws it off is the eyebrows, too thin. Though the eyes also could be a bit larger.

The Indy debate taught me one thing. Theres no point in debating with the majority of these folks...collectors in general. They are an insatiable lot.

I know what I like and at the end of the day if Im happy with it thats all that matters.

Im just glad that Im not as nit picky as a lot of others to the point where this hobby isnt even enjoyable.

I agree. As bad as Indy was I actually could see some Ford in it. Hemsworth? Total no-show on this figure. :slap

And that's too bad because I decided that if Thor was a homerun I'd get all four of the main Avengers. Now I'll just stick with Cap unless they dramatically improve this one.

I like the way the upper body looks when compared to the first version. Arms look more like they did in Thor and Avengers, and the chest looks bigger... Still, last years version looks like a bargain, just like the first Avenger Cap, when you look at the price difference. HT makes it really easy for me to pass on things now.

The first one feels like some rubber-based material. I can only assume this will be the case for the newer version.

:exactly: Indy thread was a joke. What's the point defending what is acceptable to you versus someone else.

Back to Thor, I read early on it is still pending licenser approval. Hope is alive.....

the only issue is that by the time collectors have the entire avengers series the movie will of been out on blu ray for months, but it does give me time to save!!!

The movie is epic! and i need a thor!

When does this bad figure go for preorder?
Fixd.

Nobody has even mentioned that the cape looks better.
Cuz it don't.

Does tweaked mean thrown in the bin and totally re-done?
If so yeah it needs tweaking

The first thor figure just didn't look worth it, this one looks worlds better. I'm especially loving the head sculpt and hair on this guy. totally awesome. I'll be picking this up if I have the funds to get him.
