Could well be. Depends on if this series will be a trilogy, or what.

This trailer raises a lot of questions: who was that leaning over Pepper in bed, wearing armor?!! Whut...

I agree with someone else's comment about seeing the armors getting blown up being upsetting, but.... I'm betting that armor ain't so easy to destroy with a mere explosion. After all, he was dragging a pile of it at the end.

Tony will be all right, I'm thinking. The question is, will PEPPER be all right. Its looking like things are going to get a bit rocky for Pepper, not least because surviving a cliffside house-demolition down into the bay is not going to be an easy thing.

I'm not so sure that isn't a dream sequence yet.

As for the home being destroyed... Pepper was in it at the time of the explosion and next we see Tony suited up and falling into the ocean with the rest of debris. Perhaps that'll be part of the cliff hanger.... Or maybe she'll die as part of the plot.

this is a far out there theory but
im thinking the armor comes to life and gets super jealous of everything else in Tony's life that he pays attention to that isnt that particular armor, like that crazy girl in the movie The Crush

We have seen a frame of Tony wearing a HUD that controls the armour.
We know from previously leaked info that he has 40 armours he can control from that one(Or perhaps they all look alike).
Perhaps the control system changes him so that when he's dreaming he's still in control and when Pepper grabs his arm in bed, the Armour is there on autopilot to "protect him" from Pepper.

The main armour from the movie is in a hundred separate pieces, and they fly onto him on command. That's what he was dragging.

I'm guessing the baddies grab Pepper. How else would she be in the "damsel in distress tied up" scenario seen in the trailer?

To me it's kinda obvious that it was a dream sequence.
The movie will probably focus on Tony's psychology about his link with the armor, like in the Extremis comic. Seriously, would Tony Stark build an armor that could act by himself or endanger other people? I don't think so. Especially 'cause the movie Tony Stark is quite an overpowered guy, in the comic he 'just' managed to build a power armor when he was hostage in the cave. In the movie, he builds a power armor and a mini-arc reactor. From scrap.

All those pixels...
Seriously, though, they NEVER make the entire suit. Usually just the top part. upper shoulders and chest. The legs are tracking markers.

Mystery solved! Heh. Seriously, I didn't know that.

I doubt she will die; in fact, if you look closely during the snippets where you see a suited Tony dodging debris underwater, you can see a distant human form which is almost certainly Pepper, struggling. EDIT: Dammit now I dont see that. Perhps I was hallucinating.

Looking forward to seeing all this onscreen!

doubt Ms Potts actually dies, you can see her picking up a broken Iron Man helmet in debris which is most likely the destroyed house of Stark

On the subject of the suit, I think the only bult a full wearable suit for the first movie and by the end where just shooting a guy in spandex. Even with the full suit it lacked some bits like the armor around the hip joints.

The trailer is seriously awesome. I cannot wait to see this movie and my remarks about how ugly the Mark XLVII is have changed seeing it on set. Very cool looking indeed.

I think my comment on the first pics released was that everyones opinion would change, "Worst armor ever!" to "OMG MUST BUY!!" once the movie comes out :lol

After seeing that trailer, I'm already thinking about getting that armor!
It didn't look that bad :gah:
Must not entertain the idea.. :ignore: :lol

I'm pretty much sure the suit was just in "bodyguard" mode.
What I saw in the trailer gave me the impression that Tony was becoming paranoid about his security. :D

The Tony Stark you see in bed with Potts is actually his Life Model Decoy used to keep her preoccupied.

Stark is hitting the town bagging fresh meat.

Has anyone even noticed this on the back of Mandarin's neck?
