That pic actually has me pretty excited for this now :panic:

I just found out I may get a shot at getting a Battle Damaged version.. I know this is tricky to ask but, what should I go for if I can only afford one? The Battle Damaged version or this one?

What are the benefits / downsides each one has, what is different other than the base and the obviously battle damaged parts? And what would you choose if you had to choose one of the two?

Normally the BD one would easily win it for me, but I heared that you get less parts with it than you get with the normal version, is this true? depending on what parts may be missing this may very well be a dealbreaker for me.

Anyone helping me decide? :(

I will be displaying this one together with the M42 and Iron Patriot most likely.. So far I got no IM figures. Either this or the BD one will be my first and I go for shelf presence over accuracy if that's any help.. :)

Yeah, BD comes with less parts. Both are accurate to their respective scenes. Biggest difference aside from parts is going to be value. The BD figure will more than likely be worth a fair amount more, but if you never plan on selling, I'd go for the regular.

Which parts less exactly though? I will display the regular version with it's Battle Damaged parts anyways so the missing "clean" armor parts are not an issue for me. Are there any other armor parts the regular version has that the BD hasn't?

^^^ It really is a tough choice, brotha. Only reason I chose the regular version is because it was available for pre-order first. If I were to choose now I think I'd choose the regular only because this is my first Hot Toys Iron Man. If I had a previous version then I'd go with battle damaged for sure.

The BD VII's BD extends across the entirety of the body, which is pretty cool, especially since it's the first time HT has done this, I believe. A big draw is the base, which looks to be one of the neatest ones from HT in recent memory.

The regular VII's ordnance is the primary incentive for that fig, imho.

EDIT: Haloid1177, your avatar is craze-amaze.

Thanks.

Also, the BD figure comes with the helmeted RDJ sculpt, while the regular comes with the full RDJ sculpt. Don't know if that matters at all, but that and the weapons pods are the big differences between the two releases.

Just treat yourself and get both :hi5:

That is a tough question. It's amazing how both of these figures are the same, yet very different. Personally, was more impressed with the BD Mark VII.

But if this is going to be you're only IM figure, I would probably go with the regular Mark VII.

You can't go wrong either way!
