Well we've seen the complaints thus far about how unfair all of this is. I suspect folks will be contacting SSC directly to complain. And customer service reps have to field those complaints. Of course, the non-U.S. collectors aren't going to be pacified by the waitlist.

Live chat/phone must have been hammered. I see they updated the page with U.S only notice.

I just watched the end battle from Avengers again and a couple things that stood out with regard to this piece:

1. Neither head on the figure is very accurate. This is the "post nuke" look with the jettisoned rocket packs yet the masked head doesn't even have as much battle damage as he did close to the beginning of the fight. Take a look during the "Call it Captain" scene when Cap is giving everyone orders. Stark's mask is already beat to hell with huge marks/scratches covering the entire right side of the "face." No such wear on this figure's mask.

2. Post nuke his mask is either on (with the aforementioned scratches,) half torn off (which the figure doesn't include) and totally off (which also is not included with the figure.) The "flip-up" face mask of the figure is not related to this particular movie look at all.

3. Its ironic that this figure features "repulsor blasting" hands yet after the nuke was the one time of the battle he didn't actually fire them.

4. The original Mark VII figure that is soon to ship really only represents Iron Man as he was hovering outside his penthouse ready to blast Loki ("there was one other man you pissed off, his name was Phil.") This new BD figure, though strangely inaccurate in significant ways, just "feels" more appropriate with a movie/full Avengers team display.

:goodpost: I do feel bad for those who didn't get one who wanted one, but not that bad. After all these are luxuries, and not needs. Want is a whole lot different then need. Be disappointed you didn't get what you want, but only be angry when you don't get what you need.

Now let's get back to posting about this figure, and what we think the special packaging will look like.

So, the SS customer service people are going to have to field calls because the pre-ordering system "was unfair"??
Unfair to who?
Everyone that didn't get one i suppose...
Can i call them up to complain that i didn't get the Avengers MKVI?

A few people will call and complain about anything, but I doubt there will be that many calls about that they didn't get one. Maybe the email service though. I don't bother since, in my case, it's probably yahoo's fault. I always get my newsletter late too.

I actually watched The Avengers on cable Friday and you are correct. I still think this figure just looks BADASS.
I already had the standard Mark7 on PO before this was even announced. I was planning to display that one clean, with no BD. Then this got announced and they showed pics and I was like "DAMN" that is nice. Completely movie accurate or not, this figure looks beast, and I hope the actual product looks just as good or better then the teaser pics.

Or maybe some people are impossible to please. A very small minority seems to be complaining.

Just sayin......

I'm only complaining about the people flaming the fire by saying tough **** and how they got 5 of them. They're the ones who need to keep their mouths shut to be honest. People who are disappointed will complain. It's natural. Just like the ones who say Yay I got one! Rubbing someone's nose in it or scolding them just makes it worse.

Other than that, I understand how it works. I've been through this a ton of times. I still have Preds I never got. I was on the waitlist for one for over 2 years before they closed it. :lol

Everyone needs to put their grownup pants on now and stop whining like a bunch of babies over a toy. Sideshow cant do anything about it, talking to some sales rep isn't going to do anything either. We get it, you are upset you didn't get it..but get over it. HT isnt going to produce more just to please you either...maybe in a year or so they might..but not now..thats why it is a promo edition..its limited..its the whole idea. Its a smart move on their part..keep things more limited and it increases the value of your products and thus the value of your company. Furby's were raking in the dough when they were hard to get...you can pay someone to take one now..once you over produce, your stock goes down and people stop caring.

I can just imagine the **** those poor customer service girls take every day. And they're nice people there. I've never had trouble with Sideshow.

Well with the way the mask just magnetizes to the figure you could always just leave the mask off. I plan on doing that and seeing how it looks.

I take it you didn't get a pre-order in........:lol

I am with you...I know that they had to receive a couple idiots in a hissy fit over this and yelling at them like they had anything to do with it.

blah blah blah. People who got in an order will get one and you ZERO, NADDA, ZILCH, CERO, NULL! At the end of the day, you get nothing because you valued your time elsewhere. Now complain some more on how you are entitled to one when everyone else did what they were suppose to do: put in a order when the item goes up for sale.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

When the **** did I ever say I was entitled to one?

Who is this guy? A teenager? :lol

Ha, i'm way late then. Thanks for the heads up, but whats all the arguing is about? Did anyone else also not get the email? Cause thats the only thing that kind of pisses me off about this.

All these points are invalid when he looks THIS BAD@SS!!! :banana:banana

Ha, i'm way late then. Thanks for the heads up, but whats all the arguing is about? Did anyone else also not get the email? Cause thats the only thing that kind of pisses me off about this.

it started off with international customers having legitimate complaints after being told they cant place an order. ending with general complaints of people being pissed off they missed out with others baiting them in to arguments because they had no issues what-so ever.

in between; people arguing schematics of what makes a man vs child, wives, legitimacy of plane schedules, weight and underwear sizes.

I am with you...I know that they had to receive a couple idiots in a hissy fit over this and yelling at them like they had anything to do with it.

the sad fact is they only know as much as they are told. which unfortunately can be so little depending on the situation.

that's doesn't mean the company isn't at fault in some cases. it means they have a disconnect somewhere relaying information from one department to the other.

if you really want to ***** ask for a manager. the general CS reps really have no freaking idea outside of whats on their computer screens and it will only serve as an additional step to relay information about legitimate problems that DO need attention from the CS rep to the management.
