You can order one of these regular chest armor pieces and swap it out. But I'm wondering if the helmet has a special attachment for the tubing.

It sounds like it will be as available as the shadow trooper was. Not sure where else that was sold from. Also there's no NRD so if you find it elsewhere you could cancel.

This will be the first time I have been at a convention (Celebration) where HT was doing an exclusive. Does that mean that Hot Toys, or Sideshow will have some on hand stock to sell at the actual convention...as in you take it home with you that day, or is it like every other pre order where you place it and wait 6 months?

Also how is it considered a Celebration Exclusive when Sideshow is going to sell them for "people who couldn't attend" anyway?

This. When it was announced, I was excited to get one!

But, if I understand this correctly,

1.) It will NOT be available to purchase and take home this weekend, and

2.) There's no exclusivity to this in any way, shape or form, as it is available to anyone (attendee or not), and finally

3.) It won't be released until (quite possibly) the following year AFTER the event actually happens.

To me, that's weird.

Nah, that'll be the Clones when they head into them. Spacetroopers ARE different than Stormies just as much as the Sandtroopers are different. .

So basically not different at all, just with an added detail on the suit.

Ordered, it'll cost about $250 out the door but since it's not slated until Q4/Q1 I've got time. I like this one and it's tempting me to go and order a Stormtrooper too.

Ordered almost immediately. Passed on shadow troopers because they were never on screen, but this is another story. These look terrific and the price isn't awful.
