By the way, I had a question about the backpack being removeable on this guy. After having no luck with SSC I decided to ask Hot Toys directly. Got an answer within a few days. So no bad experiences for me regarding responses to messages. Answer to the questions was yes it will be removable ! Which is the answer I was looking for !

The real question is how does it attach...will it leave exposed attachment points or holes? Is it magnetic?

I waiting for some pending rewards points, any idea how much longer he'll be available?

^^if you ever plan to buy something else from SS you might as well use your rewards on that instead. Who knows if this will be sold out in a week, a month, three months.

Exactly.
I don't need it to be removable, just the 2 lower jet parts.

Gotta be with magnets I hope. Clicking into the back panel of the stormtrooper to prevent it slipping down. Anyone else have any theories ?

I would guess it's held in place with magnets. Pretty sure that's how the backpack on the Falcon figure stays in place so I'd imagine this being similar. Not sure why you'd want to remove it anyways though. In that case you might as well just get a regular Storm Trooper.

These con "exclusives" can go on and on, so it's not like say the Stealth Mark VI where everything's snapped-up within a few hrs. They're really only adding a backpack and gun to a regular Stormtrooper, so I suppose they will make sure they've sold every last one they possibly can. Wouldn't surprise me if this is up until after release.

The Shadow Trooper went to waitlist pretty fast though.

Yeah, that's true, but I'm supposing they plan on selling thousands upon thousands of Stormtroopers and this is really just an accessorized version of one. We can only guess from our end, unfortunately.

It really looks like it's all in the chest piece (as far as what's different) so if anyone wants this and a regular stormtrooper in one just grab a regular chest piece from toy anxiety for $13 and swap them out when needed.

That was a bit different. It was in a way released earlier than regular Stormie IIRC and this many pre-ordered it to see how it looks, and thus having an idea for the upcoming Stormie. Besides the Spacetrooper is present in ANH (backpack has some differences though) as opposed to Shadow Trooper who is EU

Anyone got any idea what those 2 x blue things are in front left of the Spacetrooper in Budget Starks latest video from Secret Base ? Do they go inside the backpack canister ?

They plug into the grey cylinders:

I finally have enough rewards points to get this one for free. When I went to pre-order it let me apply my rewards points to the whole order including the NRD ($22), even though the terms of use say you had to use actual U.S. funds for the NRD. Should I just pay cash for for the NRD?

Sounds like you're good to go. As long as the order went through and you got the confirmation email. :)
