Not matter how great they are at first about your toys... their patience will eventually wear out. We just buy too much.

Mine is going to see afternoon show of "Trainwreck" with the girls... so I can smuggle my Scout Trooper and Stormtrooper home without worry today! :yess:

haha nice man! you'll have a little alone time with the figures too :rock

I used to keep my stuff in the car till the wifeys bath time, then sneak the goods in - now our work schedules make me get home earlier so Im in the clear these days! haha

I knew I wasn't alone in this. :lol

The occassional figure is OK. But when they come in twos and threes within a week, then some covert operations are required.

Had SS R2 arriving on Monday but found out the wife had taken it off, so went online to UPS site to have it held till Tuesday. :monkey3

ahhhh with the advent of free internet ****, the need to sneak it in the house has completely vanished

Lol, that's hilarious. FedEx's timing has been perfect, lately. BD RoboCop and Iron Whiplash both arrived last week while my wife popped out on an errand and my Stormtrooper two-pack will be arriving today while she's at work. *leans back in chair with hands behind head*

Dodging bullets left and right!

I managed to get in a HT Stormy 2-pack, Tamashii Samurai Stormy, a SDCC NECA predator and two marvel Legends figures last night before the wifey got home - tonight I only have the Biker Scout to get past the guard lol

I think we need to start a support group to protect us from our wives/gf's. Me and my buddies joke about storing stuff at each others places to avoid the wrath of an ear bashing and nights on the couch.

My GF complains about the figures (or mainly just the boxes that eat up storage space), and then as soon as I go to sell one off, she's all "Well don't sell that one, I like him. Sell the sand guy [Tusken Raider] instead." She's trying to curate my collection.

I'm dying over some of these comments about wives and girlfriends! Mostly because I do the same things, I have them delivered to work and then they stay in the car until shes in the shower or at the gym and then they are whisked inside and hidden. By the time she notices a new figure in the display I act like its been there forever. Plus she is most likely under the impression that these things cost $50-60. Also my current collection is only about 3 figures strong.
About a year ago she was in a very bad financial situation credit-wise and so I sold my entire collection of 30+ figures to help her out, it was hard to do but shes my wife and it was worth it to see the stress relief in her face and to hear her swear that eventually we would hunt down every last figure and rebuy them once things turned around (not very likely but whatever, it was nice to know that she meant it and appreciated the sacrafice).
I can tell you with 100% certainty that she appreciated the hell out of these figures then!

I have a T800 Tech Noir and a DX10 boxed in a locked cabinet at work. Not too bothered about it yet though because I don't own a detolf or other cabinet to display them yet anyway. My wife knows I'm getting Star Wars Hot Toys, but I haven't yet told her how many. I think after I sold all my HT Aliens figs during the recession she'll be okay with it. I think.

Mine hates the Probe Droid, but I think she's at the point where she almost loves to hate it. She made jokes about stormtroopers, but likes Bruce Lee and Spider-Man, loves Ninja Turtles (go figure). Thing is, she knows it'll never get too crazy because my minimalism always wins. Now *that* can make her crazy. Can't win. :lol

My wife said to me, I can't believe you'd spend $100 on a SW figure. I just kept my mouth shut as we all know that a $100 figure would be a dream, especially a hot toys one. The trick is to have so many boxes, that when you add another one they tend not to notice :)

I remember my GF found the invoice for the Probe Droid and got a bit of shock. :)

Recently I've started to tease her by comparing everything we buy to HT Stormtrooper prices. :)

For example she bought alot of skin care products yesterday, and my first comment was: "you could have bought half a Stormtrooper for that price". :)
