To pay extra for a SE-14r, no - so IMO you did good on passing. :) To pay extra for SSC E-11 Stormie blasters yes, I bought 4 from Toy Anxiety for dirt cheap long ago. And these are a bit better than HT ones, and you can add them to older figures too like Marmit or Medicoms.

Yeah, but if you're going to get 2x Stormtroopers anyway.... might as well get this as your 2nd so you have an alternative.

If you only want to display one Stormtrooper, then getting this makes no sense.

I like this one because its totally unique to the Death Star.

Yeah I should do that too. I have a Marmit Stormtrooper and Sandtrooper and still love them. That's why I passed on SS's troopers back when and even on the new HT trooper so far. In the comparison pics I've seen I still feel like the Marmit's look the most like a set photo than a toy. Articulation doesn't matter as I'd only have them in simple static museum poses anyway. So I'll go with this guy and have a new spacetrooper (or another regular Stormtrooper) to go with my other guys, and if in hand he does look that much better, I can still break down and eventually get a HT Stormtrooper and Sandtrooper.

Same. I like it, but don't need it. Taking on the HT SW line is now going to cost a very substantial amount of money. I'm hesitant to get even one piece because of it.

I'm going to end up with 15 new figures with my current want list, a mix of HT and SS. So yeah its going to cost me! And if I get one of these I'll probably want two. Decisions are hard! :)

I'm getting this. In fact this is my only direct pre-order with Sideshow. :wink1:

Yep. My plan was always to have 4 clean Stormtroopers, so 2 of these and the 2-pack is perfect.

I'm a Stormtrooper nutfreak :p so I have 1 Spacetrooper on pre-order and 3 regular TK's too: a single trooper and the recently arrived pair. Waiting for HT Sandtrooper(s) too

I've been looking over the figures I want and space I have availible, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to give up on this one. The plan is to have a Vader flanked by the 2 stormtroopers I already have, and I think he will look out of place with them. Plus I need the funds for other figures that are coming, I'd rather have a Boba Fett instead of this.

It's still a way of so I'll have to see closer to release if I change my mind again.

If anyone wants the option of converting this guy into a regular stormtrooper, Toy Anxiety has the chest armor for sale right now.

Can someone be awesome and help out on a question:
I *NEED* a stormtrooper in my life. The single is what I want, but it's hard to find at a decent price, which has me eyeing the 2-pack.
• Is the 2-pack "tall trooper" the same as the single release? Or does it go: (2-Pack Tall Trooper is tallest), (single release is normal height), (2-Pack Short Trooper is shortest)?
Or I might end up ordering a Spacetrooper, if only we knew for sure that the extra accessories could be removed to create a "clean" stormtrooper. I'm mostly worried about the chest armor having a hole.

Thanks for any advice. Or if you know of a place where I could find a trooper at a fair price, PLEASE pm me. I have a newborn and can't spend needlessly anymore :/ (time to sell some stuff, sigh)

I'm in the UK so mine haven't actually arrived yet but from what I've heard there are only 2 sizes. The tall trooper is the same as the individual release and the only way to get the short trooper is the 2 pack.

Congratulations too, I'm going to be in your shoes in a few months so I'm getting ready to slash the budget!

Short trooper might also be available in the Luke figure. In thinking about buying the space trooper because I want another. I'd rather wait for a Han version though

I wonder why the Spacetrooper is taking a long time to release. Considering it's essentially a Storm Trooper with some added parts I'd have thought it would be a quick release.

With the normal stormtroopers being sold out, any stormtrooper variance figure are going to sell fast as well. I was going to pass on this, but now I'm wonder as it does look great.

I think so too. Maybe not fast, but faster than they would if the others hadn't dried up first for sure. Ordered this and got a single chest armor piece from TA just in case. This guy may be a sleeper eventually, once the line gets deeper.

Personally I love the Spacetrooper. Adds a nice little bit of variance and the gun is awesome. Think they'll really be great on display with reg Stormtroopers.

Spacetrooper is a real nod to ANH (aka STAR WARS). Part of the reason I want it. It's so obscure yet cool -- an actual stormtrooper in space -- and a variant that few people know exist in the films. It seems like something that Lucas would have wanted to change and color them up and give them crazy jetpacks... but he left them alone, with their dignity and their odd packs.
