I agree that the head sculpt isn't as strong as the Hot Toys version, the hair sculpt looks a little better. Since it's SSC, who knows if the final product will look as good. I just pre-ordered it off BBTS. I really wish the Hot Toys version came with the Endor poncho and helmet, kinda nice that the SSC version offers that, as well as the rest of the stuff the Hot Toys version comes with, and for about the same price. And, it seems to have all the hands everyone wants with the Hot Toys version.

Same here, pity HT didn't include those Endor accessories with their release.

Yes it indeed does.

It would be unforgivable for the costume not to allow that. It symbolises his light side coming through after they have hinted at a possible dark side win for the whole latter part of the film.

Hot Toys is releasing a whole second figure, and likely including some goodies that can be used with this one to make sure people buy both.

Got the email at work and initially thought it was a deluxe version of the Hot Toys. Damn lol.

At least there will be some more options for customs/parts this way. Just sticking with my HT order, but having the option of other parts down the line is always cool.

Hot Toys is releasing a whole second figure, and likely including some goodies that can be used with this one to make sure people buy both.

Do you mean the Endor Luke Release? If not, where was this announced? Another figure altogether? I wouldn’t be opposed to it so long as it comes with a decent headsculpt. I like the expression for this release and I hope they continue this trend for Luke. I’m tired of Hot Toys using neutral expressions.

HT hasn't announced anything, they just showed off Endor Luke at some Cons. He has a different expression on his face.

Clearly sticking with this over Sideshow. Not sure how they can justify the higher prices with all their releases and all of a sudden this SS Luke is around HT prices.

I was thinking of getting two of the Hot Toys Jedi Lukes to have them setup with Robe and one without in different poses..May just get Hot Toys and Sideshow ...never enough Jedi Luke figures [emoji4]

I'm so shocked by the jump from Sideshow. They are nuts to compete with Hot Toys. The only reason anyone would get there version is for the endor gear that's it. Sticking with this version it's way better and I know the quality will be what it should. Sideshow higher price tag and quality is a hit and miss so that will be a no double dipping on that front.

I seem to be having more of a quandary than most here. Even though I preordered the Hot Toys figure immediately, I've really been hoping they're going to tweak the sculpt, especially the hair. The SSC figure looks really cool to me as a Luke Skywalker figure, if not necessarily a Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker figure, if you catch my drift. It definitely captures the character, the likeness leaves something to be desired, but the hair looks WAY better. But for me, the likeness on HT version isn't wonderful right from jump street either, and I don't know why they keep insisting on these mouth open sculpts lately. I don't own any figures BUT Hot Toys, so I'm not familiar with Sideshow quality vs. Hot Toys, hands on, but I was impressed with most pictures of the Temple of Doom Indy figure.
