I love the Buscemi peek

People are weird. I was complaning about so many new figures keep being relased by Hot Toys from TFA/TLJ, not bashing the movie itself. Seriously up to this point you guys not sick of those duck troopers already ? Just look at SideShow last Force Friday promotion page, those were all heavily discounted. Yet tons of comments flooding this page "as a SW fan you should love all films equally" :cuckoo:

And as a SW fan, you just cannot just simply sit there and happily recieve anything they're throwing at you lol. It was like " you should be grateful because they decided to make new things about SW universe, so shut up please".

Yes. You're on a doll forum. Dolls.

When things get weirder than that, they're usually illegal.

:lol This is funny because it's true. Some of my normal friends think this whole thing is just really bizarre. And I sure as hell don't talk about it at work.

Don't want to argue with relative strangers over mass media on a toy forum lol. I can understand that people who saw Alien back in '79 still think it's great. I've seen bits of the Aliens movies before, but they're basically sci-fi monster movies to me.

Yeah but Predator is also just a Sci-fi monster movie too so what's your point? Isn't that why we love these movies?

Oh I talk about it all the time at work. I make fun of myself to deflate their arguments all the time. That way they have nothing left to joke me about.

At the same time I ask if they plan on putting on make up and going to a public place to drink beer and cheer for men in tight pants? Sound like a Chip and Dales or a football game? Knocks the macho homophobic attitude right out of them.

Its strange cause all the geeks I know hated TFA.

I wanna say, you are NOT a true SW fan if you like TFA, but we have to wait for TLJ. At this point that is the case. Nothing wrong with liking the movie, but don't tell me you love that film are your a SW nerd. Too much wrong with it. Let's see is TLJ fixes it.

Anakin ordered!!!

Nobody hates SW more than die-hard SW nerds/fans. :lol

Lol I'll never understand hardcore star wars fans. They seem to hate anything to new that add to the lore and want the same thing over and over again. That's how we got the force awakens. I really love the star wars expanded universe and it's lore. I like learning about the jedi and sith in the old republic. I remember when fanboys raged at Kylo's lightsaber. I thought it was very unique and cool.

I believe those "hardcore SW fans" aka OT obsessed fanboys were..haunted :nazgul.

I was 7 years old when the first Star Wars came out and like 13 when Jedi came out, so the original movies hit me in the sweet spot of my childhood. Those are the movies I LOVE. I have also limited my high end 1/6 collecting largely to that trilogy. I am a big Star Wars fan, but here is the thing, I also realize that none of these movies are perfect and even my beloved original trilogy has flaws; even though I do think there is a good case they are objectively the best I do recognize that we are also more generous in our evaluation of them.

When I went to see the Force Awakens 2 years ago I went with an open mind to try and just enjoy it for what it would be. This is a lesson I took from watching the prequels when they came out. I had to let go of the pressure they had to live up to anything, and realize that they don't really have the power to "ruin" Star Wars if they don't live up to the others in my mind. MY Star Wars is safe, nothing can hurt it or ruin it or tarnish it no matter what the prequels did or the squeals might do. This has allowed me to enjoy these other movies for what they are. I can be aware of the flaws without them driving me nuts or acting as if they somehow attacked me personally because they might not have lived up to my love for a franchise I identify with. I then can also enjoy and appreciate what they did or tried to do too. In the end, I think it's the fans that hold on so tightly to everything being "perfect" (according to each individual) that drive themselves crazy, and some others crazy too who have to listen to them. Listen to Master Yoda, as he taps into an ancient wisdom that we must learn to let go of what we fear to lose. Or listen to Leia who understood the more tightly you grasp to something the more it escapes you as she told Tarkin, "The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers." So my advice to fellow Star Wars fans, don't hold on to what you love so tightly, let go, relax your hold of it and you can truly have it and enjoy it for all that it is.
