Well, looks like I was wrong. Just spoke to someone in HK and he told me that the BD IM would be arriving in Feb., maybe even March.

I really thought this would ship in January.

That is unfortunate, if true. Still, I have my fingers crossed. But if it does get pushed back, that's fine with me. I need to save my money anyway.

Thats what I thought as well. He'd be perfect to be released on Jan, seeing that mark 3 was released last year around the same time as well.

Ironman is perfect to be released in HK before CNY as the color would totally match the traditional colors to celebrate CNY as everything is in red. Yeah I know it's the least important reason but ......

I'm also wondering if the paint is going to be any better this time around in comparison to the Mark III.

my mark 3 is on the way out! no need for 2 iron men! i just hope this one comes in dx style packaging (im assuming the box will be as large as dx due to all the accessories) and that we dont have to wait as long as we did for the mkiii ! and PLEASE HOT TOYS - NO QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES WITH THIS FIGURE!!!

I think people have always wanted that, subconsciously.

As for the box size, I'd still prefer it to be as small as possible whilst offering ample protection.

But be honest you do like the DX boxes don't you especially if they told you that they would have charged you just the same even if the box is smaller

Yeah, I really like the DX boxes. I've been spoiled by the luxurious foam padding and swanky triple-layered sections. Still, it's kind of like eating your favorite food every day -- I think I'd tire of the boring DX box art after a while. Shipping costs are a bother, too.

Bringing this back to Iron Man, I think I'd be okay if the battle damaged release came in a box that was identical to the previous HT IM boxes...only with battle damaged effects (not to be confused with shipping damage ).

No need for an elaborate DX Box, or even 2 Layers. It's just the Fig and parts. But we'll see, I agree smaller is better with this but they may have already designed a DX Box considering it was originally planned as a DX. Personally, I don't care for the IM2 suit and think this Fig plus the Mech Suit is Killer enough to represent the Fig.

Anyway, did someone say theirs was shipped already? Where are the pics from xlshop, etc? Should be very soon.

My guess would be that it be the regular box for IM BD but Mech Suit might be tough as that robot seem awfully big to include in the standard box. I only got M1 and waiting for these two and then it's waiting for IM2 and figures from that Did I mention it? I LOVE THIS HOBBY!!!!! I am like a little child whenever I talk to Eric and in reality I am an old fart!
