as nice as the box presentation and art are, truthfully it does little to zero for me. As the boxes go straight to the storage shelf, and figure go to the glass cabinet.

So yeah, I'm fine with average packaging, so long as it does it job well on securing the product during shipment.

I would like a bit of consistency. Wouldn't it be nice to have all the figure boxes from the Iron Man line share similar aesthetics? I can see the IM BD box having a nice battle damage effect overlaid on the ol' Mark III design, and the Mech suit Tony box designed to look like Tony's shirt with the arc reactor 'heart' strapped on top of it.

I think your request for IM BD will come true but I fear MC just wont be able to fit that bot oh and the platform in there

Oh this one comes with the backdrop too. Hmm Godfather had a similar backdrop and a big chair and ended up being a much taller box from what I heard

Yes, some random guy. Which doesn't mean he doesn't have some reliable info to contribute, especially since he lives in freakin' HK and can drop by any toy store any time he likes to ask questions to which people working there can answer a hell of a lot more reliably than most here. That being said, I still hope the people who told him that are wrong, and if they are he will be the first one happy about that.

I have Hottoys Godfather his box is a lot taller then the normal Hottoys box and I do see Hottoys going the same rought for the Ironman test mech as well. I hope to get the test mech too look nice between my mark I and mark II...
