This is interesting because I always assumed the ship crashed. Remember Ripley says that the message wasn't an SOS but a warning in Alien. That's also why I thought the Space Jockey as Engineer was a surprise. Originally I assumed the Space Jockey was a transporter or something. Maybe even a good guy who got these eggs and ditched them on the planet. Knowing that they were too dangerous. So much that they even infected him.

I need to read At the Mountains of Madness. I was waiting to see the Guillermo del Toro version. I believe he stopped making the movie because of Prometheus but then started again after seeing Prometheus. I'm going to get one of the Lovecraft collections soon. I'll probably read the story first.

I love this gif. The reactions from everyone else in the background contrasting with Tommy Lee Jones is great.

Yah he's still trying to get funding to make the film. Nothing really set in stone or official. He just has been mentioning in interviews he wants to make it, but he's going a bunch of other projects in the works and is looking for funding.

Yeah, these NECA figs are incredible. I'm extremely happy with them. I bought the first pressure suit engineer as a test to see if I would want them (as I had sworn off all non-1/6 figs as my Star Wars collection was getting too big) and have two of each, one to open and the other to store.

I want HT to do justice to these, so I can do the same with theirs!

They're just inundated with projects - that's their own fault, but if anything they're helping me out by delaying may faves so I can actually PAY FOR THEM.

She looks really beautiful there, I was amazed by how cheesy they made her look for a lot of Prometheus though. I know it was a conscious decision on the part of the film makers, but theres nerdy and theres nerdy.. It's a pity they didn't allow her to do more with her character, I liked her, but thought she came across a little annoying. Still can't wait for this figure though.

Yeah, slightly annoying, but the problem was they had to cram so much movement forward in the movie that people just had to come out and say 'this is what is happening next' ala "It's everything, it's us," and the whole Janek military installation speech.

If there was another hour they could have fleshed it out so much more for her, the key character. Also the extending fight scene at the end builds her character just as much!

Shaw and david are probably going to be fleshed out extensively in the sequel. I imagine that, when we look at the sum of all of the films together, shaws character, as well as the "big picture", will function quite nicely. I cannot wait for the freakin sequel. come on!

Both are already more fleshed out than Ripley after the first two Aliens, but I'd like to spend more time actually with them.

I didn't think the look was bad either, but maybe Shaw will go back to wearing the YUTANI dress (from the original Prometheus photo thing)
