Prometheus had one of the largest international marketing campaigns seen, tv, press and viral.

Wrong again. Prometheus had a marketing budget of 50 mill.
It was actually half that of the other big summer blockbusters.

Besides the fact that viral marketing is extremely inexpensive.

Literally everything you're saying is false. :)

Of course it is.

Prometheus is a franchise. :lol
:thud:

Actually I couldn't be arsed answering you anymore, it's dull. Like a teenager standing up for their favourite band. The complete utter **** and drivel that you post is actually turning me off Prometheus.

There is actually no where left in this forum for intelligent two way conversation about this movie. And or figures.

And Prometheus 2 hasn't been OFFICIALLY announced yet, whatever crap you like to dream. If you think that is an official movie announcement then you have absolutely no idea how the film world works.

Best of luck trolling the sequel thread.. We all know who you really are.
:wave

Of course it's a franchise. Why do you think your on a thread for its toyline discussing the announced sequel?

aaaaaaaaaaaaagain. YES it has. And I posted links to the reports.
back to the autumn patch, PUMPKIN TROLL :lecture

It was officially announced by the Fox president in August :wave

There is going to be a sequel as long as RScott wants to do it. And he does!!! It made enough money, he got the go-ahead. They are working on a script. Noomi has met with RScott just a few weeks ago.

RScott is said to be excited to do it he is just working on a script and story, and that came from Noomi herself, clear as day, nothing cryptic.

“They're working on the script,” confirms Rapace. “I met Ridley in London a couple of weeks ago. I would love to work with him again and I know that he would like to do another one. It's just like we need to find the right story. I hope we will.

does it mean it won't get made? Yah, just like any movie. But the plan is to make a sequel. They are at very beginning stages and we just have to see what happens.

END OF DISCUSSION until we hear otherwise!!!!

Nothing more to say, your own laboured back peddling dogged stupidity says more about you than I ever could.

And the fact that your 200 or so posts are only in Prometheus related threads says a lot.
:lol

apparently statements like this:

Fox president of production Emma Watts has officially confirmed that "Prometheus 2" is moving forward, and will most likely have a 2014 or 2015 release.

...means to some people its not official. Not sure how more official you can get with a movie announcement? Maybe a letter sent to your home from Emma herself? Will that help?:):lol

This is even more official than Justice League or Star Wars 7. Prometheus atleast has a director, some actors, and working on a script.

What? Star Wars 7 doesn't have a director, writer or actors?
You'd better let ...

JJAbrams
Lawrence Kasdan
Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels etc.
know...
:lol

An official movie announcement only happens when a film is 100% going ahead, not just people talking speculatively about wanting to do a movie. It happens when a director/writer and producer are signed and real money is exchanging hands.
Bonne Nuit.

Which was announced 6 months after Prometheus' :rotfl

One thing I've noticed reading this thread is the ones who like the movie will defend it till death.:devil

But that's wrong you see, I love this movie, it's just that I have objectivity about the reality of its pros and cons. People like ol Carrot Bun here don't have that ability, and troll everyone in multiple threads as if Prometheus was there mother. I find most of their teenage posts indecipherable, as they certainly don't actually make any sense, like the one above.:lol

Erm.. What? You are just undoing your own argument.

Yes, Star Wars 7 was officially announced, yes, officially announced months after you claim Prometheuses was announced, yet it already has a writer and director locked in and is in full preproduction. Now, that's officially happening. Ridley is doing a ton of other stuff right now and for the foreseeable future.
:lol

I didnt like it. It was a major let down for me. I expected more from Mr. Scott. But I am glad you liked it.:hi5:
Loved the visuals, loved the whole sensory experience of it at the theatre in 3D. Story was really interesting but badly handled. The script and edit were diabolically bad.
Acting was mixed, from excellent to soap opera bad. I'm a big Ridley fan myself.

Actually you're undoing your own!

Prometheus was confirmed 6 months before Star Wars. Just because Star Wars has a writer means nothing. SERIOUSLY? That's an argument? Star Wars has a 2015 release date, and Prometheus 2 has a 2014-2015 release date.

This has been known since August :wink1:

btw Star Wars doesn't even have its leads together. Just the four rumored returns
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2488496/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2

While Prometheus has the two stars signed :peace
and no Ridley is not super busy....he's finished The Counselor

Welcome to reality...you could at least pretend to be objective about the facts. ;)

Prometheus made way more money than other films who have gotten sequels of late. Especially overseas, and with a much smaller budget.

Ha there is no arguing when it comes to fanboys lol.

just because you like something, doesn't mean it will get a sequel. you can argue all you want. It might get a sequel, or it might not get a sequel. (Im kinda hoping it Doesn't get a sequel just to see Carrtoburn cry :lol)

No arguing when it comes to fanboys? Too bad I am saying facts.

And no because we like something = not the reason it gets the sequel obviously.
It's because it was a success, made enough money, and the Fox president confirmed it.

u sad? :monkey2
