I just want to go into the film with an open mind and once I've watched it then I'll begin to dissect it (or wait for avpgalaxy to analyse it fully).

That makes sense but do we know the time difference between Prometheus and Alien?

I assume Prometheus takes place in 2073.

The Peter Weyland TED video took place in 2023, and the video was put up because it was it's 50th anniversary.

Alien took place in 2122 so...49 years.

Seems too soon for me, and the idea just doesn't make much sense imo...the Jockeys using the thing we accidently created, or them using an ancient biomechanical weapon they created, while we accidently create an entirely new creature.

But who knows, I think this is the most confusing and interesting movie of all time. There are thousands of theories floating around on AvPGalaxy.. There's just so much going on with this.

Maybe its not a accident, maybe they set out to create xenos in the first place. It is interesting but I think if they make another one which they might as its meant to be 2 movies, it should be xeno based.

I seem to remember Ridley saying that he's not going to give away everything in this one...that there will be new mysteries, etc.

Cannot wait for these Hot toys.. def. want a Space Jockey and David (Michael Fassbender) who knows maybe his android body will be decapitated like ash and torn apart like bishop so we can get a multiple version of David that would be awesome.. i actually wouldnt mind every character from this film cus i have a feeling they all play an important role... Also, just brainstorming here, but with this resurgance of Alien now because of Prometheus hence NECA doing Prometheus and Aliens figure such as the colonial marines I wonder if Hot Toys will do Alien and Aliens again. Now that Biehn's likeness is obtainable I would die for a Hot Toys Hicks and pretty much all the characters from Alien and Aliens.. At least give us a couple characters from the crew of the Nostromo in their Nostromo gear not just the spacesuit. and Hot Toys can really bring to life the colonial marines and their detail of armor and weaponary that made them so unique in sci fi history

If that's a legitimate screengrab, then I'm thinking this movie will not only explain the set-up for the original film, but also how the creature itself was created.

That chestburster could very well be the first chestburster.

Looks to me like David (who is reported to be really intrigued with this "life-making" technology of the Jockey) might actually become the aforementioned "Maker of the Xenomorphs"/Prometheus.

Whose not to say that in his quest to become a real human he starts tampering with all the Jockey-tech? And accidentally "creates" the Xenomorphs and plants them back on the Jockey ship or infects the little egg-like devices we see all over the Jockey ship which then turn into the eggs?

From there, that can explain why the Jockey got face-hugged, the crashing ship, etc. and perhaps the "infected humans" we see earlier are David's failed experiments?

It also can explain why Weyland Corp. has knowledge on what transpired, both through David and what other flight records...setting up for the casual "fly-by" of the Nostromo.

..still doubt they're going to put that much of the Alien in the movie.

Looks kinda like a Chestburster, but we also know it has 3-4 tentacle things, so..
