I do. But isn't it typical. One female character (other than Leia and Sarah Connor) that every bloke wants to own just as much as our USCMs and Arnie T-800s etc etc and there has to be a problem.

I bet she'll cave-in someday when she realizes that it can only be a good thing. I know she has a thing for guns and violence, but it's a bit ironic given some of the parts she's played. Figures of her from all the ALIEN movies would be a must purchase.

I'm not sure I'd buy an Aliens version of Ripley actually. I can't stand her hair in that movie.

Honestly why not have a figure made? Even if it means having no gun accessories come with her, i dont mind. I know that if i was an actor and Hot Toys wanted to use my likeness, id say "HELLLLLLL YESSS!" and id even let them do it for free.

They can. If they stop trying to give her a gun. Just get the likness for Sigourney from Aliens without a weapon. Simple as that. Add it on as a separate piece.

I don't know about that, I mean it was just that one film, its not like her whole career is full of 'Sigourney as female Rambo' roles. She was resistant on Aliens but bowed to pressure from James Cameron. But in Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection I don't think she ever holds a gun.

I highly doubt guns are what she has an issue with but rather the idea of being made into a toy, being made into merchandise like that. Many actors are the same. While you want a toy of them, for the actors it can be cheap and tacky. Where does it begin and end? Bobbleheads? Having their face on a packet of chips with Sigourney-shaped chips inside? NECA? If they don't need the money, for many there's no incentive to sign up for it.

And I believe I recall Weaver making negative comments about the Predator crossover so it does seem the movies mean something to her, that she doesn't see them as just a money-making opportunity.

Did she have a handgun in Paul? I can't quite remember now, but I thought she did.

They should just release a Ripley figure without weapons and then release the weapons with a Hicks figure.
