I'm calling BS. Kinda ironic it goes on WL and then we got a "Vader is Back" email from their marketing team Sunday and theirs is now plastered all over the site.

They probably made too many for TFA and decided to make less for RO but ended up making a lot less than they should have.

More likely they made fewer RO Vader so they are sold out and long gone so as not to impede sales of their eventual upcoming ESB Vader

For what it's worth I just asked a Sideshow Rep if Vader going to waitlist was permanent and she said yes. The only way it'll go back to preorder is if HT gives them more stock.

Pretty hard to believe that HT made that few of him, especially when Kylo Ren is still up.

I've been dealing with Sideshow for nearly ten years and in my experience the SSC phone reps really know nothing other than just CS matters.

So many of the HT figs have sold out, gone up on the secondary market - then all popped back up for PO again, seemingly in large supply.

Precisely. If you want this figure, I'd jump on the WL. VERY high probability that it converts.

I guess it's possible they thought most people who wanted a Vader would have already gotten the ANH version, and so didn't produce as many of this version as they might normally.

Either way though, it's freakin Darth Vader so you know they'll be making more at some point.

I was also in contact with Sideshow via chat,, and mentioned my concern about being waitlisted and was told that it was VERY likely it would convert.... and if for some reason it does'nt,,, oh well ill carry on playing the waiting game for the ESB Vader

Love it, for me it's an improvement on the ANH version. I know people will disagree it's just my personal feeling.

I think once the ESB version is announced / released, the ANH will be more coveted than this one.

I'm waiting for a definitive 1/6 version.

Do you really think HT will release a Vader figure from ESB?

Are there enough differences for them to release one? It seems to me they might skip ESB and just make a ROTJ version with an Anakin sculpt, assuming the ROTJ suit is similar enough to the ESB costume.

I hope so I honestly can't tell the difference between ESB and ROTJ, but I see the ESB Vader as "definitive" because it was his movie and he had some great scene.

As mentioned, an ESB Vader is inevitable, as well as other characters most likely. They'll probably do a RotJ one as well, but I'd have more interest in an ESB one because as mentioned, Vader was front and center in it and ESB is my favorite SW flick.

For figures that already haven't been made, I'd just want an ESB Vader, RotJ Luke and RotS Anakin and Obi Wan.
