Swapped the cod piece couldn't be easier
Guyver, is that as good as it gets with crossing his arms? I tried doing the same, but I wasn't happy with how it looked.

Guyver, is that as good as it gets with crossing his arms? I tried doing the same, but I wasn't happy with how it looked.
I'm futzing with it a little more..not easy to fold the arms because of the material.

So Rogue One messed up his lightsaber too? Can't really see it in the movie, but can't think HT would redesign it rather than simply recast the ANH version they already made. It looks much more like the ESB version with the longer grips and wires. This design is so crazy. So many differences from RO & ANH when it's literally such a quick time difference that Vader could've tracked down Leia's Tantive IV. What was Disney thinking? Well, at least they fixed the robes over the armor, but would've been nice if they sent a quick memo to HT so they shipped it right...

Some great pictures in here as of late. 
Personal preference. R1 tunic is pleated while ANH tunic is smoother.

I only have one other version of Vader the SS very first ed Vader.. RO is my first HT version. I used that piece from a spare SS Vader I had
Yeah as much as I'm one for accuracy, that shiny armor looks so good I'll definitely be wanting to keep it over the tunic for a while. At least until the ESB Vader is released and I can then modify and dull this one down into an ANH Vader.

It does look a bit odd though how the helmet and chest armor are all shiny and pristine... but the belt and chestbox are weathered and scratched up like crazy.

For those with both ANH and R1 Vaders. Is there any differences in the capes? From pics to me it seems the ANH hangs better or can that be from just the pics I saw. Are they the same or different? Thanks.

For me, the character of Vader is a work in progress (similar to Boba Fett). Who's to say Vader didn't adopt this look between ANH and ESB? If you dig it, go for it.

I know its putting the cart before the horse since this figure is just now getting to us, but I thought it would be fun to see what we might expect from HT for their ESB Vader...
I'm using the SS Deluxe inner robes since they have an access opening for the chest box wires, otherwise all parts are stock RO except for the hands and chest/belt boxes.

Infinitely better than the A New Hope Version. Suit is less baggy, a more intimidating build and the belt isn't that scary to take apart. the bad thing though is that the pegs are a ***** to put on the hands, so I took the liberty of ordering extra pegs from Toy Anxiety.
