I think it's very noticeable in person, it's very cool. When I shine my flashlight into the lenses, I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but I think I can see his eyes as well.

Yup the red is definitely highlighted easily in person

That's very unfair. The only thing that's barely worth something of the Original SSC Vader is the suit. Everything else is off in every possible way. At this scale, the only thing of HT ANH Vader I find blatantly wrong is the shoulder armor (well...and the gloves). Out of the box is still decent, modded can be perfect.

Yeah the HT vader 'while not perfect' is still a huge leap forward from the old SS versions...

It's 'reversable' so you can display it with the super laser on either side. This one doesn't have a remote although it's an LED so should

Thanks for the link, I've also ordered one. That will make one sick Vader display, especially with a CCFL saber.

I am doing the Sideshow conversion to the HT ANH helmet (and the RO whenever I can get just the helmet) and I was told by other forum users to get the Man Of Steel neck peg (or a figure with that same type of neck peg). Mine is in the mail and I'll post a pic with the ANH HT helmet on the SS ROTJ Vader. After seeing your pics, I've been swayed to pursue a RO helmet.

Just cancelled my wait list. Local shop by me has for $10 above what I'd pay Sideshow. Even though I'm sure the wait list will convert, rather just know I'll have this guy next week and support local business at the same time.
