It depends on which version you want the cod is until we know otherwise accurate to this film I just changed it to show what the ANH looks like on it, do I like this version? oh yes but the ANH will always be my favourite and I will be displaying both though I'm keeping the new gloves on the ANH, just need an TESB now

They should be the same - looks different based on camera angle and distance.

It is tricky and the mix and matching that nocternus did doesn't help..no offense guy

I think the

RO..no scratches , more polished grill, nose piece is more subtle, Redder eyes, back of the dome is more wider and better proportioned

Nocternus you have both..let us know what you see in both please

Did you try pulling off the boot to see if it has the leg extenders

Is there any difference in articulation?

But who knows if I can use them on this

Timcent is reasonably priced on Vader right now but it seems lately the first HK releases for HT always seem to have QC issues as of late and by the time SSC gets their stock in..these seem to be better

What do you guys think

Who cares if the film is a dud, either way this is still a HT Vader regardless

Damn, I don't really mind the lack of a glowing light saber, but I'll be a bit guttered if it doesn't have the sound features. It was advertised at some of the cons as having sound effects.

No offense taken I do like both figures but you have to remember they different versions from different films the R1 gloves on the ANH look great and to that film I like what HT came up with, as the helmets go its pretty much as you described it, is the R1 accurate? ask me in 7 days the articulation is pretty much the same and no I did not check for extenders but his height comes back to the point of we don't know much about him from R1 yet

The infamous plastic leg extenders hat have been showing up lately..I'm pretty sure this Vader has them

I hope you'r right. From the looks of the sideview shot, it appears the RO cape is about 1/4" higher off the ground compared to the ANH cape. So removing those extenders would make it perfect.

Good to know.. from Deanknight's review wasn't sure the arms are double jointed because when he did a saber shot the arms weren't flexed enough

So I thought oh no single jointed arms

So what do you think makes this RO version taller than the ANH version then if they are the same bodies

I wonder when the regular RO storm troopers will be soliciting, you'd think if they made Vader taller, these RO troopers will be taller as well

Why take off the extenders though if that is the issue..it's Vader..he's supposed to tower over everyone

Was it easy to swap out the cod piece to the ANH? I bought one off ebay a few weeks ago for 11 bucks...dont like that R1 cod

Nice comparison...the gloves are the biggest improvement and the suit looks a better fit.Chest armor looks a better sculpt too.Mask and helmet look identical except for the paint apps and controls/buttons on the chest box are smaller...

Hate to say it but the dome and the sleekness of the RO version might be the one to own

The gloves are better and Helmet looks to fit better on his head, red eyes guys!

No sound effects, but like that really worked well in the first place as a concept

No ignited saber..eh no big deal

IDK the difference in size makes this version a unique one of a kind figure

If RO is indeed a one shot film. Then this is a gem unless Vader is in any of the other upcoming films like Han Solo

Watching Deanknights review it says on the instructions that all armor is non detactable!

Those small coin buttons on the R1 are a bit odd, though they might be accurate for R1

Yeah this is definitely looking like a big improvement over the unmodded ANH figure. And the helmet looks a whole lot better without that heavy-handed weathering they gave it.
