Thanks for all the great pictures, Nocternus!

First, this Vader really does look gorgeous and is definitely an improvement in many ways.

I'm a bit shocked that he's taller! I mean, the ANH Vader was too tall... now this looks to be Sideshow height.

So from what I can gather from these pictures, in regards to an ANH conversion from RO:

IMPROVEMENTS:
-shin guards
-gloves
-helmet paint -- depending on your preference
-tunic
-shoulder bells - correct color (even though you'll never see them)
-weathering on boxes

CONS:
-height
-chest box - strangely oversized while the buttons and slots remain the same size and are now too spread out
-belt 'buckle' - dial painted black not silver
-super-cod

The buttons/slots are actually too small making the chest box appear bigger and the color of the ANH shoulder bells are the correct color for that version..

Oh well, I imagine anyone wanting to mod it into a proper ANH Vader would probably prefer to use a different tunic anyway that didn't have the pleats.

The bells aren't black on ANH? My bad.

I do believe the RO chest box is larger but the slots and badges are the same size as the original box (ANH) so are spread further apart. Aren't we saying the same thing?

So many things are off just like the ANH version..eyes too big,horrible nose plug again!,neck too long,chest box and belt/buckle all kinds of wrong. The gloves and better fitting suit are it's saving grace and oddly enough the cod piece is actually accurate

I still suggest that the Vader we see in the movie could be from a time period prior to the actual movie mission.

I happen to agree with you on most. I'm pretty sure the mask is the same sculpt again so you mean the eyes are as wrong as the ANH version?

Anyway, I wonder how this figure actually measures up with R1 Vader. We're all so busy comparing it to ANH.
