Exactly. I never needed comparison pics to tell me that the SS version looks way off. Now that HT has done him twice, it should be a no brainer. For $20 more (when he's in stock), you can get a way more accurate Vader that will never need to be upgraded or traded.

I'll keep my sideshow dx until ht releases a rotj vader and Jedi luke I honestly don't see it being that far off. While I do like the r1 vader I'll pass and just wait for what I really want.

R1 vader vs sideshow vader. Pros and cons for each?

Cons: neither are the Hot Toys ANH Vader.

Pros: a combined sale of both figures would provide you with more than enough $$$ to purchase the Hot Toys ANH Vader.

After seeing Rogue One again, in IMAX 3D again, I'm so damn glad I ordered Vader. And to backup what Guyver said.....

Those were early stills I thought. Didn't they change his costume for the final screen time he had? To match ANH and all. If not, my bad.

The only thing they changed was the robe over the chest plate. pleats were still there..when they first showed the massacre so to speak, he still had the robes under the chest plate faintly like the figure, by the time the last shot of him looking out to space , the robes were over the armor slightly.

I guess all his movement maybe jarred the robes , he was a buzz saw
