The HT dynamic stand is huge. Pic for you:

That looks really good. I used a similar method and used the dynamic stand that came with my General Zod to support my NECA 1/4 arkhman origins batman.

If you don't want to make a stand or buy a dynamic stand, I have another suggestion that could work.

I unscrewed and removed the top of the base with my HT 1/4 endoskeleton

Its not the most aesthetically pleasing method, but the stand works great now, and can easily be put back together.

They look really good here, and very natural poses too.

What mods did you do besides the cuffs on the wrist mod?

Cheers :)

Just the cuffs and Enterbay cape for the 1/4 scale. Everything else is stock. I bought spare hands on eBay to do the cuff mod so I can swap between TDKR and TDK.

Just curious do you have any pics of your arkham bats on the zod stand?

Wow that is not a bad idea. Would never of thought of that, certainly allows more posing options. :clap

I was so close to pulling the trigger on EBay for one of these but after reading a lot of this thread........I'm having doubts. Is it very obviouse w/ faceplate sticking out too far or people ate just too picky. The cape looks like crap and base is so so.

You really shouldn't have doubts.

The faceplates can be pushed in a lot further than people realise and the cape is easily replaceable. Just buy some black fabric, cut around the HT cape shape and boom: new cape. And the stand is rubbish yes but there are alternatives.

Here's mine with the faceplates pushed in:

I know you should have to do this for such an expensive figure but u can sand the face plates down so they don't stick out. As for the cape, well Hot Toys Batman Capes always suck that is why I always go the custom route. :wink1: It's the best Hot Toys Nolan Batman figure there is.

Wow looks great, so you just pushed them in further you didn't sand them down like Tony did?

Great pics.......yeah I already made plans to buy a custome cape maybe from Tony Mei.

Exactly, I thought for the price they're charging it would be at least near perfect but then whats perfect to one is not to the other. Plus hate to mod such an expensive figure.

Good decision I can vouch for his capes because that is the cape I am using on mine. BTW which one do u plan to get?

Yeah it is a shame you u can't buy the face plates separately on ebay, so you don't have to resort to ruining a figure. Nevertheless, do you still think the face plates stick out too much even after seeing Jokes & Bats pics? :huh

I should of said I sent an email regarding more info on his cape since I bought a few other items from him before and most likely if do buy it would the battle short lenght cape. I don't know about faceplate sticking out but maybe chin is a bit out further but could be due to facial expression too or just nick picking :rotfl

omg those pics are beautiful

do you use sand paper, and do you sand the "bump" completely or just slightly? (not sure what to call that portion of the faceplate.

Great pics! These in particular are my favourites:

Movie still. Seriously. :thud: :rock

Thanks a lot, guys.

No mods to the faces at all. The faceplates fitted in the cowl like that straight out of the box.

The only upgrades I made were to give it the Enterbay cape and purchase a spare set of hands from eBay to cut the cuff off for the Dark Knight Rises look. So I have both a set of modded and unmodded hands.

Yea, those are some sexy pics, I might end up putting the cowl back on, I currently have him displayed with the Bale head.

1/4 scale Batman!!!
One of the best investments I have made in my collection.

I hope Hot Toys make more 1/4 scale figures. I think they should and will stick to making one major character from a movie series.
Would love to see 1/4 scale:

Predator Jungle Hunter (with PERS eyes and a different head sculpt for with Mask and without so the mandible seams are not shown)
Darth Vader (with head sculpt, damaged hand, base part of Carbon Freezing chamber)
