Hot Toys TDKR: 1/4th scale Batman [QS001] - Full Reveal & Specs

I was in a mall earlier and something caught my attention when I passed by a small toyshop (not selling Hot Toys, mostly cheap figures). I tried not to laugh when I saw it, even inquired and pretended not to know about authentic HTs.

It seems bootleggers didn't stop at doing non-articulated knock-offs of 1/6 Thor and Wolverine. Now there's a QS001 knock-off. Not sure if the same guys are behind this.

The face paint app is decent in person, but the rest of the figure is ugly and overpriced @ $75. The body is like a blown-up version of the hollow batsuit included in the Toys Legend armory, except that the belt is molded right on the body. The cape is really cheap plastic, and no accessories included. This made the NECA 18-inchers look like a bargain for having better quality and being licensed.

Although not very realistic looking the eyes do not look like ERS and thus, look painted. Did u get a good look at this?

Yeah, though I didn't open the packaging (the staff was nice enough to let me take photos). The eyes were painted. It was decent, but not really very good. The skin and lips are what shocked me. Very good for a knock-off.

Yeah they don't look very good as far as realism goes.

Yeah, but I'd say better than how NECA painted the skin and lips on their 18" Keaton Batman.

Hmm yeah not a fan of that NECA Keaton paint job. The paint job on the Knock off looks smoother than that NECA Keaton paint job.

Good thing NECA's paint on the skin of their 18" Arkham Origins figure is better overall, no wonky eyes, no overly pinkish lips and pale skin. I only darkened the 5 o' clock shadow on my Origins Bats and it already looked much better and more accurate to the game, whereas for Keaton Batman I had to repaint the whole face including the wonky eyes.

I've been looking to buy a spare set of hands for Bats on the commerce section of the board and eBay but haven't had much luck. Anyone have any ideas about where else I could find them?

Nope, just wanted to mod a set to not have the wrist strap while keeping the originals if I decided to switch them back

For the price that batman bootleg seems pretty good, give him a new paint job. I'd love to see some more photos of him.

i have 2 of these... one regular, and one exclusive... the exclusive is sealed... which i wont open at all...

its strange but i just have 2 have one sealed... lol
