I think it's time we all agreed to disagree. It's going no where and someone will eventually start throwing out insults.

Lets stay cool fellas.

I haven't seen any sign of it being less than civil, unless you are reading something into this discussion that isn't there. We have all said our piece and the discussion is basically fizzling out anyway. There's no need to jump in with such a comment. To tell cool heads to stay cool?

I think the point of the post was just to stop talking about this issue, you might have been civil but others just tried to force people to believe their way.

I meant no disrespect bud, just didn't want to see this thread fall into that trap as it has done so in the past. You may not have ill intentions, but someone eventually will.

Still showing 5th September on my sideshow order it may well come out, but if they move the date this late in the day that will just stink

For me, the usual Wayne heads you get with a batman figure are not much more than a cool accessory. It's 100% cowl on display for me. The Wayne figure I do have in my collection is using adams head. But if HT have tweaked the Wayne sculpt with this and it turns out to be a great sculpt, then man, what a turn around for this thing!

Yeah same, all I care about is a good Batman head sculpt, thus like you said 100% cowl on display.

:hi5:

It won't end because you are trying to persuade people that there are no changes at all, you are not respecting anyone's opinon. Whereas, I think the sculpt looks deformed compared to the proto pic, but that is just my opinion and I am trying to force people think otherwise. The fact is the dam thing looks different to what we were promised. I am thinking of getting this repainted to see if it just the PJ that accounts for this big difference.

I have two of them as well, so what is the point in bringing up that up? I don't know about cross eyed but cocked eyed, he just looks like a dam zombie. About the deformed theory IDK the face looks shorter or squashed more, it just looks ugly IMO.

No not in that lighting, Frank was saying the dark lighting was what is creating the shadow, so I showed a pic of the sculpt in bright lighting, which appears to me that the mouth is more open than the proto pic.

As long as you are, I guess that's all that matters then right? If someone showed me that pic and asked me to guess who it was I would have no idea. Then again likeness is subjective, so I am not saying it looks nothing like Bale but I personally can't see any likeness.

So now you are admitting the face does look different? :huh

You are right it possibly could be Len's distortion but the fact is it looks different.

.

- I would be curious to see a good repaint.

- the mouths are no more or less open on the two "versions".

- I see what you mean by squashed. Until I posted my pic with the proto shot, I had honestly not noticed that before. My first impulse is that it is lens distortion. Not because I don't want to be wrong about it being "deformed"' but because it seems the most logical explanation. If the production casts had somehow sagged after casting due to rushing, as you have suggested, it seems that there would be variation from copy to copy. But, as it is, all that I've seen look identical in shape. I could be wrong though. And looking at the two pictures I can see that the proto does look more like Bale in TDKR. The production piece looks more like him in Begins, due to the fuller face.

Whatever, I personally don't think it is len's distortion, but if u want to believe that then fine. The sculpt might be exactly the same as the proto pic but that doesn't change the fact that what they gave us looks vastly different to some people no matter what the reason is, they might of photoshopped the promo pics:dunno. It is like they purposely deceived us, except you and all the other people who actually like the sculpt and can not see any differences at all.

Whether you want to admit it or not there are plenty of people that think it looks no were near the same hence why they trolled the Hot Toys face book page, saying why did Hot Toys change it is was perfect to begin with?

I agree with what the Joker said it is one of the most ugliest sculpts Hot Toys has ever produced. :yuck

Us Freaks are spoiled.

Finally some common sense, I am not trying to persuade others as I was not even the person to bring it up to begin with but people kept attacking other people that did bring it up so I felt I had to chime in, to defend them whist telling the original poster to not try and talk about it otherwise it will cause arguments. I just see where the other people are coming from that are complaining about it is all, because like them I hate it to.

However, on here if your view differs from the majority then you must be wrong and persuaded to think the way everyone else does.

I think the point of the post was just to stop talking about this issue, you might have been civil but others just tried to force people to believe their way.

If you go back and read my posts and yours you will see that we are being equally dogmatic. It's how one has a discussion. Things have never gotten heated, and I honestly don't know why you are so passionate about the issue.

As I have said, we basically already agree. It was not "resculpted" intentionally, the final cast just isn't as good as the original. This is a frequent consequence as BadMuthaDude has said.

I am willing to admit that there are differences between the original pics and what we have in-hand that I did not notice until now. But I still think it's the best 1/6 Bruce Wayne to date.

Too many of you forget your history. Or choose to forget. The same lot that do the slagging, will be slagging this in 2 - 4 years from now. It's called progress and technology advancements.

Unless we're talking about some other sculpt? Like Their first Bale or something? Statements like that are just hard to take seriously.

Next you'll tell me Johnny Depp is the ugliest man in Hollywood and Gordan Ramsay can't cook.
