I'm beginning to think you may be right. So many figures recently have gotten huge discounts and it hurts when you only paid in full a few weeks before. I might find it easier to hold off on non exclusives after AOU

it took me less then 3 figures to figure out that it's best to wait unless it's an exclusive

I have not preorder a regular figure since I had to cancel me HB and Starboost to take advantage of the discounts and double rewards.

Fortunately they didn't have NDRs.

I learned my lesson on preorders and NRDs with the Armory and Cap 2-pack. Luckily I was able to move both without losing anything but it was not easy. No more preorders unless it is an exclusive I MUST have without any doubt (stealth Iron man lesson for me). So now I have only 2 things preordered - Stealth IM which is basically gone and diecast mark 3 which I had (and still have) no doubts about getting.

Well if you're going to buy a figure and then decide that you don't want it and need to sell it - an exclusive Iron Man figure is most certainly the way to go.

I think it's funny how so many people are ready to drop this figure now after all the excitement went it first went up for preorder and went to waitlist so quickly. Some people are a little fickle aren't they?

Everyone has their reasons - I had to sell almost all my collection shortly after ordering him so there is just no place for him in my collection now. Sometimes things just happen that you don't plan on.

I can't imagine not wanting this beautiful figure, and that's from a guy who loves Iron Man but is a bit burnt out on getting all these Iron Men at this point. I mostly go for just the really visually striking or key ones, at this point. This definitely falls into the first category for me, though.

I agree. I've owned most of the special run HT Iron Man figures, and I think this one and the "Milk" War Machine are the only two that look awesome. The SDCC Iron Man figures are ugly to me. I already sold one of them off because it just doesn't look great and I got $1,100 for it.

I really like how this one is looking!

I'm wondering if the black plastic bits (like the hands or wrist guards) are the same color on both the Stealth and the Python. Both look like a metallic black, but I can't tell if they're the same shade of black or if the Python's are a bit lighter.

Python is more of a dark charcoal grey color, whereas this looks midnight black so I don't think they'll match. I don't have the Stealth yet though to be sure, but the Mk 7 in my sig is a custom that is midnight black and gold which I'm using as a comparison.

Thanks! I don't have a Python, so I was having trouble telling if it was a dark charcoal or black based on the in-hand pictures (it was definitely gray in the promo pictures). Stealth doesn't look like a charcoal (though the metallic tint was throwing me off), so I think you're right about the color difference.
