Hot Toys The Avengers: 1/6th Scale Iron Man Mark VII (Stealth Mode Version)

As soon as I can find the parts I need to do so... I want to put him on a spinning display inside a plastic case with the edges line in different colors of neon rope. Maybe even a black light.

A black light could look insane, in my imagination at least. Would love to see how that comes out.

I am in the same boat - this was an impulse buy for me and unfortunately I used points for it so there is no way I am going to cancel. I have sold all but 2 of my Ironmen since this order so this will just not fit in to what I have in mind for a display.

Yeah... have sold all of my Iron Men except for Mark VII and I'm debating selling that too... though if I only keep two Hot Toys it will be Mark VII and Avengers Loki. Have this stealth and the diecast mark 3 coming and can't be keeping either of them. That's the annoying thing about NRDs and nearly year long waits for figures... priorities and collections can change drastically in a span of 6+ months.

And that's why sideshow and others need them nrds. Not sideshows fault things changed. Why should they be stuck with the lost money?

Kind of makes a wait list pointless really if no one is willing to cancel because of the NRD. I don't think there would be that many CC declines to fulfill their wait list. I am on the WL but I am not holding my breath unless they somehow get more figures in and I am not paying fleabay prices no matter how much I want it.

I never suggested they shouldn't have an NRD. I'm simply unwilling to piss it away and give Sideshow free money. I have no interest in having a discussion about the validity or necessity of NRDs because that was entirely besides my point.

It is just going to be Mark 1, Diecast 3 and Monger for me with Iron Man - there is just so many different ones that I decided to just go with a basic movie origins display. I am doing the same with Cap.

I always find it interesting that people (myself included) won't cancel an order because of the NRD. There's no point in buying a figure out of spite unless you expect to sell it for enough to cover the full price (or think you'll actually like the figure in person).... admittedly, that shouldn't be a problem with this particular figure.

Sideshow knows their approximate CC decline rate pretty well at this point, so I expect those were taken into consideration. And I'm willing to bet some of the impetus for a waitlist was to make sure that they don't pre-sell more units than they expect to receive. That'd be disastrous if they overpromised units, so it's better to be safe with some people on the waitlist for when they have a better idea of what the pre-sale numbers look like.
