I dont get why this is worth more than a die-cast figure. If it cost the same, around $309, I may have considered it, but $340? It just seems high to me.

It's high because ppl like it and are willing to pay for it. The value of something is based on what other are willing to pay for it. That's pretty much it.

But I do think it's funny cuz I've never seen so man folks saying "it's high, but I'll pay it. Because I like it."

I remember when the mk7 bd when up for PO. It was on a Friday evening est. if you didn't check your email you were SOL. It sold out in ~ 2 hrs.

That one ticked me off. I think I got my email notice after it sold out. I was on the waitlist too and never got one.

There is no rhyme or reason with collectible pricing a lot of times, and certainly not with these promotional pieces. To rationalize the price point is an exercise in futility imo. Basically I buy it because I know it will be relatively hard to buy down the line vs regular releases and more importantly I like all the IM with wacky paint schemes...so while the new Mk III or Mk 43 would be a more rational/value buy, I am still suckered in by this boy...

Yeah, that was messed up. Got the email late and it was long sold out by the time I found out it had gone up for PO.

I kind of feel sorry for iron man completists. There is no end in sight to the figures and most come with a "iron man fans will buy it anyway" tax. This is a very nice looking, overpriced figure.

This one has came out of no where in a short period of time, what did we have like less than 48 hours from announcement to PO? Given the email came out so late and on a Friday this one may hang around a little longer.

I don't think it is a reflection on the want (or need) for it. The second most people check this site they are running like rabbid dogs to order I am sure.

It's probably higher because movie promo editions are very limited. You're paying a premium for rarity.
