Well according to the article that was posted her about that scalper, he was paying them to stand in line, plus the cost of the figure.

So he paid each person $219 to pick up both Batman and The Predator.

My only hope is now that SSC is getting them, he'll wind up sitting on a bunch of figures he can't sell to break even.

Strange, I was having the same problem as you, until I manually entered the address. Well, try clicking on the second link that I posted up. See if that redirects you to Sideshow.

They probably just don't have their hands on the right information or are just too impatient to wait until October for it to ship.

I wouldn't really say that. There are some people who really want this figure, and ordering from Sideshow isn't an option for them. There are just hordes of Hot Toys fans in Asia who'll never get their hands on this, except via a scalper .

I don't think they were being paid collective bargained union wages thru arbitration with full retirement and health insurance packages and stock options

I highly doubt that article's accurate with the payment details. $219 for a day in line, in a country where the standard wage for a day isn't even half that, seems a bit eccentric.

I'm not sure it would be a profitable venture. Especially since most of the Crow psychos from the 90's have moved on to Ledger's Joker. Though I'm more than certain there's a small handfull of 400lb, unbathed, long haired throwbacks who still sport that a___ray-smelling leather trench that'd be attempting backflips if HT does.
