Yeah its because 'Action City' wants to have exclusive distribution rights in Asia. And they're friends with HT so now HT is forcing Sideshow to cancel orders. Also 'Action City' requires to pay full price up front on pre-orders, do not replace defective product and charge double retail on any exclusive.

Its all on HT facebook. everyone wants to boycott
There's so many HT FB pages... got a link to the right one plz?

This move just means we won't be able to PO the Batman or Predator Toy Fair exclusives I would guess. Now the Batman exclusive will cost us One BaZillion Dollars.:thud:
Well, you could always trade them your SP Mark IV... :monkey3

I am a resident of Singapore and Sideshow just cancelled all my Hot Toys orders this morning.

Everything was cancelled, including the non-exclusives like regular Superman, regular Iron Man MkII Unleashed.....

I am quite pissed that Sideshow actually apply the rules to previous orders without warnings. They could have indicate that they will no longer accept new Hot Toys orders from Asia with effect immediately and let the rules apply to new orders. But to go back and cancel orders placed more than 2 months ago is a big "FAIL"!

Sideshow, you guys are not cool!!!!! I can live with the Exclusives being cancelled but the regular orders that were placed months and weeks ago??????

SSC are no longer supplying the Asian market with Hot Toys? Woh. Maybe it's a glitch & SSC will put your regular pre orders back again :dunno

It kinda makes sense, at some point Asia will get their own distributing company so you won't have to pay high shipping prices to ship stuff from US anymore, should be a good thing in a long run..

It wasn't a glitch in the system. For every cancelled Hot Toys order, Sideshow sent a personalized email explaining that they will not be selling HT products to Singapore.

Oh shnap  Maybe what Theokan said might ease the disappointment :D

Is that what the long posts on the Hot Toys Community was about? I know there were a few posts over and over again referring to HT and SSC but they were too long to read thoroughly.

For those of you on the wait list, does if show up in your order history page? Or not till its activated?

Wow! That sucks, hope you still can find the items.

Aren't there toy shops in Singapore and Asia? Why import from the US?

I'm pretty sure Sideshow would rather sell items then not sell them, plus blaming them for something they apparently didn't have a lot of control over doesnt seem productive.

Yes regular HT figures can be bought in Singapore at cheaper price and usually gets stocks faster than from SS without added shipping cost.

Which does not make (common)sense to order from SS. Unless you prefer that your figures have a round the world trip than a short trip from Hong Kong.

I'm sure Sideshow HAD to do it or they wouldn't have cancelled those orders. No company likes to cancel orders.
