Figured I'd get a response like yours. I read one or two of your "answers" before I bolted. Where do you draw the line at all the ridiculousness? Face it, guys like you are going to like the movie no matter what. Sorry to stomp on your latest favorite all-time film.

With an attitude like that, you sure make talking about movies fun.
Where do I draw the line? I don't. If there isn't a line to draw. If this film was a drama about two people in the midst of a romance, and then out of the blue a giant alien shows up and attacks humanity...I might draw the line right there. Because for a film grounded in pure reality, a thing like that isn't going to happen.
In a film series that has Aliens, gods, robots, monsters....nothing is going to make me go "OMG NO WAI." because....well....it's not set in our world... So who gives a ****?
You can say whatever you like. Doesn't bother me. But if you're going to be nitpicky about it, i'm going to call you out on it. If you're seriously sitting in that movie theater wondering where the pilots went off too after they bombed the **** out of Tony's house...then I feel sorry for you.
Even if you don't like the movie, a question like that is so unimportant that it just baffles me why anyone would even think that. It's so baffling, I have to write two short paragraphs about it.
How do I know I was going to like the movie? I could've hated it. It's possible. It's not perfect. Because no film is. And there are problems. But one of them isn't about pilots, or fake pseudo-science.
He’s the globdamn BATMAN.
Whatever, dude. That was so obviously meant to be funny. If you're gonna be set off over jokes now you might wanna take a breather from this thread. Besides... It's only a matter of time before the ironic gifs and memes start.
Where do you draw the line at all the ridiculousness?
well....let's see. you got to admit these superheroes aren't exactly the run of the mill people you meet at the grocery store. i think i would draw the line of ridiculousness through the entire marvel universe. these are fictional characters and in fiction, ANYTHING goes. i enjoy them for what they are.
probably this is the worse character ever!!!
^ And that is why I never read comics growing up.
Fing Fang Foom technically was in Iron Man 3... as the tattoo on Killian.

I just have to ask this: What was it you were expecting from this summer superhero film?
Personally I feel these should be FUN and I think they accomplished that.
funny...complaint after complaint yet the box office is kicking *ss. some people need to realize that the movies AIN'T the comics. they need to WTFU
Also, I don't have a single issue with this film not following the comics. All of my problems with it have to do with going off the rails of its own established movie conceits.
This is what we all have been saying, but the supporters of this movie keep bringing in comic book crap as the reason we don't like it because they have no answer for why it deviated from its own established movie world.
Yep.
I'm not offended, of course. It's just funny. Plenty of other examples too. I particularly liked the insinuation that eventually people will come around to their senses and dislike the movie.
It's not perfect. Because no film is.
