Yeah, he lost that a while back. during the invincible iron man phase came out from his bones. The bleeding edge stuff is pretty darn slick.
Thanks for that bit of info Josh. I might have to back and read those.

I was reading that Gwyneth wants a "Rescue" movie spin off.
Was she that good in IM3?

For everyone that complained that the Avengers aliens were generic and boring, all dying with the destruction of the mothership.
This was Marvel's response to that.
Pepper shouldn't have been cure imo. Friends and relatives getting powers is almost comic book stable. Look at Flash thompson.
Her getting Extremis and then cured twenty mintues later just made me think what was the point.
Well, it's not THAT kind of a twist. It's just a plot twist. It's fun. You'll never experience it again, but you can still appreciate what you felt.
I don't see how it's a gimmick, as it's played into the story and Killian's plan. Kill the President, grab Trevor, bingo. He's famous. He's the biggest. He'd be bigger then Tony Stark every would. I just think people are mad they were jipped out of a Ben Kingsly villain. Which, could've been fine...but unless he got into an Iron Man suit, I have no idea what the final battle with him could've been.

I don't know what Iron Man did that wasn't already established. But before you tell me, you have to take in account where he is at this moment. He's a man who thought he was the greatest, but realizes he's nothing after seeing Thor, Cap, and The Hulk. He's just a man in a can.
So his priorities are going to be different. Hence his constant tinkering, his over production of suits for anything the universe could possibly throw at him, and his new "powers"...which he took from his little watch device in The Avengers.
He became a different character. He grew. It was nice to see.
Yes it does. It's all connected. The fact that Thor exists makes Stark feel useless and unimportant.
Ok I have to ask about Killian's plan. Was it about being better and bigger then Stark. I never felt that they explained his motive other then he was jilted by Tony so many years ago and like any good bad guy he just wanted power. Just wondering.
And you are right about the twist "You'll never experience it again, but you can still appreciate what you felt."
There was never a moment in film that I can think of where you could see the "jumping of the shark" so clearly. Perhaps the idea was not bad but the Fart joke execution was.
Is this ever mentioned in the film?? Or are people assuming that is how he felt. I mean he is having panic attacks about almost dying (which in itself is stupid since he suffered from many near death moments) The whole point to his PTSD is his brush with death in the worm hole. He never talks about feeling small useless and unimportant. People are still treating him like a hero.
I have heard this point from a few members but none of this behavior adds up.
I mean are you saying that the fact he was almost killed by a worm hole created by an product of a god makes made him feel more scared by death then a bomb blowing up in his face or having his chest piece removed or almost dying of blood contamination??
I mean He knew everyone but thor was already out there. He damn near begged to see the Hulk.
Like I said it just don't add up.
No problem. Its was a fun arc to follow I think.
Here's a link: Bleeding Edge Armor
Edit: I was wrong he does have to get something placed back into his chest after he goes into a coma and about dies. I forgot that. I can't recall if the nano tech just covers it while he's not in the suit. I'm gonna have to backtrack.
Not in his body... He chucked it in the ocean when picking up Dummy.
Now he just has a giant hole in his chest large enough for Pepper to put her hand in.
Cool. Thanks. I wonder of a future IM movie or Avengers 2 will address your edit.
I think it's just people drawing their own conclusions. His ego was pretty grandiose, but in the Avengers he found out that he wasn't the baddest kid at the playground after all.
