to people not understanding the whole story of the instability of extremis, which is the entire reason they want Stark. :lol

If they wanted Stark then why try so hard to kill him on more then one occasion.

They had the girl to help make it stable but then Killian killed her also.

Except to make big explosions I have no idea why they blew up his house unless they assumed he wasn't there. Killian acted like he didn't even know his research girl was there, it obviously wasn't a well thought out plan, but you do realize that people do that in real life.

Killian killed the girl because he had Pepper and the girl had already told him Tony was the key to stablization, not her, if she couldn't stablize the formula in 10 years +, what was she do now that he had Stark and Pepper to leverage Stark.

They didn't always need Stark though, they had Maya.

Once they had Stark in their hands, then Maya refuses, Killian is like "eh, **** it, I have one of them" and kills her off.

And I figured Killian knew Stark wouldn't be killed in that Malibu assault and surely he sent Maya there to intercept Pepper, right?

Pretty much sums it up. Killian was a hot head in more way than one.

No because Maya was there and because he's,

The guy survived an Alien attack. Would Killian really think some missiles and helicopters would stop him?

If anything, people should question what would have happened if that crazy extremis woman killed Tony before Killian could talk with him.

Awesome.

THE MANDARIN TWIST

1oz Rye
.75oz Lime Juice
.5oz Orgeat (almond syrup)
1/2 Mandarin orange (with peel on)
1oz Campari

Preparation: muddle mandarin orange and orgeat in a mixing glass. Add rye, lime juice, and ice. Shake.

Add campari to an empty glass (I used a footed capri, but a collins glass could work). Then add crushed ice and fine strain shaken cocktail over the top. Top with more crushed ice as needed. Garnish with a Mandarin orange wedge and a cocktail umbrella (if on hand).

The drink is a bittered variation on an Eastern Sour. The Mandarin orange is much sweeter than regular OJ, so the peel and the Campari provide a bitterness to balance the drink. The layered effect plays on Iron Man's suit colors, Red and Gold.

Saw this today, did not like! Should have been called Tony Stark 1 instead of Iron man 3. Only thing about the movie I like was RDJ calling the kid a *****, lol!

Enlighten me please? Because I didn't hear anything that actually explained it in any logical way, and as far as I can remember I was paying reasonable attention?

:lol

Well, what I got out of it, is that it's basically DNA recoding. Meaning you can use it to repair limbs, make super soldiers, or in Killian's mind, to blow **** up and get rich while doing so.

When he's explaining it to Pepper, it sounds like they found an empty "space" in a human's DNA. That's where they can inject the extremist code. Of course it's not perfected yet. But that's why he needs Tony, and kidnaps Potts to get him.

Wait,

I thought the Chinese theater explosion was terrorist in nature and not an accidental "overdose".

Yup, that's the only part that I still don't get. It was an accident, right? Maybe Killian just said **** it, let's take responsibility for it.

THAT, or later on when Tony is in Gary's van, he watches a few docs, where killian explains "those addicted will not get treatment and will be removed from the program." Maybe OD'ing his test subjects is his way of throwing them out of his "program"?

:lol, ok I didn't miss anything then. It doesn't make a bit of sense. I thought it was fun though, I liked Downey and the kid. Thought it was funny that Stark was such a spoilt brag that they were almost at the same mental level sociologically.

Your avatar, screen name and post pretty much sums up what's wrong with general audiences.

On a side note, this man was literally destined to play Iron Man.

Took my daughter to see this movie last night. She loved it but couldn't handle staying awake for the whle thing. She slept through the final fight.

I was laughing my *** off at the twist they threw in there with making the Mandarin a pathetic clown front. I won't laugh at the haters on that one though, as I think about how much I hate the way they clowned out Radagast in "The Hobbit"...and I hated that. So, even though I don't agree with the haters...I do feel for you.

Done differently, The Mandarin could have been one of the most awesome villians in Hollywood history.

Except that he tried to kill him a bunch of times. At his home for one. It is getting where I can't remember anything but didn't the Woman and Killian's henchmen try and kill Tony in the town??

He also did not seem to care too much about trying to kill Tony at the end.

I could be mistake as I really am having trouble remembering any of this.

This movie is still puling in over 10 mil a day domestically even with Star Trek and Gatsby out, what a ****ing Juggernaut.
