I find that this movie is being incredibly overrated. It was incredibly predictable and formulaic and the final fight scene was dreadful. I like the movie overall, but I don't think it deserves to have it be called "Best comic movie" or anything close to that range. I'd call it a good Marvel film and a step in the right direction. I just don't understand why they're so afraid to go against the grain (yes, like in BB).

I'd probably lean toward Batman Begins being the better made film but Iron Man was still very well done and personally I just like seeing his suit in action more than Batman and his gadgets so my preference leans toward the IM flick.

I'm in the middle of exams, I've finished most of them, just have one to go in two weeks time. I went to see Iron Man this evening as a break and as a treat to myself.

6 hours later I'm still sitting here with a smile on my face and entertaining thoughts of reordering that life size bust :)

I think Iron Man is great but after seeing The Hulk Trailer I'm beginning too see some competition for Iron Man

You must have seen IM in a pretty terrible theater if you think that it'll look more spectactular on Blu-Ray in your living room. :)

Well the town I live in have had the same 3 movie screens for 30 years :lol the quality of Iron Man wasn't that bad at my local cinema but I think if I was watching at home on Blue Ray it would still beat watching at my local movie theatre :monkey3

I know I'm a little late but I finally saw it this weekend and I too thought it was great. :rock

I still think SM2 was much better but I'm a huge SM mark so maybe I'm bias. The movie was perfect until the final fight started which I thought was horribly choreographed. It was rather dull and boring which is a shame since everything up to that part was awesome. IMO the movie lacked a good villain.

I would like to add that Downey Jr. was perfect as Stark.

In a variety of colors, it was a design that I helped with. If you're interested and don't have an RPF account let me know.

Amazon is already taking preorders for the Blu-ray release. No date, of course, because it hasn't been officially announced by the studio yet. But I am anxious to get this one ASAP.

I saw it again yesterday on the digital screen at the Galleria in Hatfield and the theatre was packed. This three weeks after the initial release-virtually unheard of in England!!
