I already got a tracking number for my helmet. That was fast o_O

If the paint isn't great, I'll repaint it. If it's not super durable... well, I'm not planning to play football with/in it. I figure I may put the helmet on once or twice, but mostly this is a display piece for me. $240 is pretty reasonable for a 1:1 MK42 helmet imho.

i almost gave in and PO-ed this, but my wallet made an impassioned plea and won. i'd definitely get this if i didn't already have the 1:1 mark 42 helmet by imaginarium art. it's not wearable of course, but it's a beautiful piece so i'm good. for now. until i change my mind. maybe. ahem. :panic:

Yeah, I'm still on the fence so I'm really looking forward to what people here who bought it think when they get it.

I love it from what I see, but personally I wonder if after the game thrill of the open/close function wears off (and I would only display it and not wear it), if it would still be worth it, especially since it doesn't come with a stand.

Having this sent to the office was a great idea! Video to come when I get home.

Wow, looks like we have a simultaneous delivery here. My arrived today as well. I wasn't home so I'll have to retrieve it tomorrow.

Got mine today too. Despite a tiny chip on each side of the helmet (towards the bottom rear of the helmet) I'm really happy I ordered this badboy. Well worth $200!

Cool to see you guys are getting yours in. Would you say the quality is about what you expected?

PROS
- nice assembly, bright paint app and is great to look at
- helmet and ring fits me perfectly (6' male)
- surprisingly nice packaging
- it's a freakin' wearable Mark 42 helmet with a fictional visor and light up eyes!

CONS
- despite good looks the helmet has a thin plastic construct
- visibility with the visor down is poor (which is understandable)
- once removed the base of helmet can be tough to get back on

Any nitpicks I have about the helmet are greatly overshadowed by the joy of watching people's faces light up when activating the visor. It's not a heavy construct for a replica but it is very light and easy to wear. Got it just in time for Halloween and the helmet is definitely comfortable enough to wear out (even if you'll be spending most of the time with the visor up). Even if you don't plan on wearing the helmet, it's a steal for a replica at $200. Very satisfied!

I love it from what I see, but personally I wonder if after the game thrill of the open/close function wears off (and I would only display it and not wear it), if it would still be worth it, especially since it doesn't come with a stand.

The lack of a proper stand does hurt its shelf appeal (let's face it, it can't compete with my 1:1 Mark 42 bust) but if you can look past its plastic construction you do get a great looking piece for the price. Though I will admit that the helmet's wearable nature and functionality are a huge part of its appeal for me.

Glad to hear all the positives. I'm definitely going to have to get one. So was the shipped price $250?

Can someone do me a solid and take a picture of the wiring on the eyes so I can try to figure out why mine isn't working?
