Maybe it's a huge offence to certain stories in the comics (?) but as a sequel to the movies X1 and X2 I don't actually have a problem with it. There some good conflicts in there and some great action. And Beast has never been better.

The film isn't that bad, but as a big fan of Juggernaut, part of me hates it because they made him a weak ass MUTANT (WUT? :dunno) with a lame costume and terrible dialogue. His "I'm the juggernaut b****!" was literally taken from a youtube parody video because it was popular at the time :slap

Then, there's the way Magneto was taken out...:monkey4

And the Phoenix was made into a mutant ability and not a cosmic entity, which was disappointing.

Other than that and a few other little things like Angel doing nothing and Wolverine's ridiculous hair, it's not that bad. AS a FoxMen sequel it's fine.

I agree with everything except Wolverine's hair, which I know I am wrong and bad to like.
But that reactionary stuff (juggernaut) is still going on. MoS 2 got turned into Batman being mad about the disaster porn of MoS. And didn't they make a Marvel short about the Mandarin because of the panty-creeping over IM3?

Those are equivalent examples, right? :lol

Most of these things are frustrations with things not being like the comics - valid? Yes - it's a comic book movie afterall. However for someone who doesn't read comics they aren't problems and those people can look at the overall narrative and entertainment value of the film alone....which, I think X3 is fine in that regard.

I was pissed off at the prologue when I saw bald Patrick Stewart Xavier walking around...then I remembered it was the later film X:Men First Class that causes the problem there, not X3 itself.

The hair was fine. Its Wolvie's classic hair from the comics.

I was happy that after The Wolverine Singer went back to wigging Jackman. He just looks more like Wolvie with the hair.

In Logan its understandable because he was done being Wolverine. Wolverine died with the X-Men.

Yeah, I get it.

What bothers me the most is that the films reach a much larger audience, so what people see in those films becomes acceptable, and those characters or stories are forever tainted.

Look at Dr. Doom. Such a great character, but all people know is what they've seen in those horrible films.

As good as Magneto is in the Fox films, it bothers me how vulnerable he is to simple physical attacks. It's like, you have magnetic fields...use them!! :gah: :lol

Oh well, I guess you have to take the good with the bad.

The Jean v Professor X and Wolverine killing Jean scene are awesome, music is great in those scenes.

Beast, love love love. That voice!

But the cure plot was just not fleshed out very well.

Midget Trask > Black Trask

Wolverine crawling on the roof trying to get to the next room to save Xavier was pretty epic. The scene in the hotel in Logan took me back to that, though the motivation was reversed as he was trying to get to the room to save the people from Xavier.

Just remember that Charles and Eric are in their 50s in Apocalypse.

Yeah, Singer ****ed up the aging process. Both McAvoy and Fassbender should have had some white hairs showing and their faces should have been aged Logan style.

XMA has alot of problems.

Apocalypse is truly the low point of the series for me. While I don't love DOFP I understand why people do. But I'm very happy that the future of the franchise is in new hands, director-wise anyway.

I agree, but to be fair, Bryan Singer is also in his 50's and he doesn't look that much older in that photo, does he?

He looks a lot older than Chuck, who looks like a kid with a shaved head. From that angle he looks a bit older than Fassbender, though it's not a great pic.

Plus, Singer stays young by eating children, like Pennywise the clown.

Great observation.

lolololololol

Charles should only be in his early forties by Apocalypse. They never say that the scene with Raven and Charles at the mansion in First Class takes place in 1944. Erik however, should be in his early fifties by that point. I buy Fassbender being say...fifty-two years old in Apocalypse.
