A kind McF Toys employee shared the following info with a few of us who asked him some questions/had some concerns about Wave 7. I wanted to share them here since some of you were as bummed as I am about Wave 7:
*Flashback figures: The flashback figs are Walgreens only. There is a quick turnaround for these orders, so they tried to mix up the assortment instead of just rereleasing Wave 3 or 4, or whatever.
*Flashback figures: He pushed for some retooling (like the new Shane head) or at least paint redecos, but the powers that be said no. He is unsure if it was because the orders came in late or thats just how they wanted to do it.
*Wave 7: Michonne and Carl reappearing is intentional. Buyers for the retailers are very worried about "B" characters like Carol, Beth, Rosita, T-Dog, Dale, etc..... If they don't see one or two of the main four in a line-up, they are convinced it won't sell.
Wave 7: GOOD NEWS! He said there are still some surprises in store for Wave 7!!!
So overall, it sounds like McF mostly knows exactly what we want, and is also doing a balancing act for their buyers. In fact, I kind of appreciate them giving us a new Michonne and an older Carl over a Rick/Daryl repaint from their previous releases. Gives me a little more faith in them. They are doing their best to keep "main characters" in the waves, but also give us something sort of new. This also explains why we are alreaady seeing a new Governor in Wave 6 - the buyers must consider him & Rick to be "main" enough to balance out Hershel, Carol and Abraham in the wave.'

So I just got word we lost the story time knife set that comes with Carol in series 6. We're just getting a gas can, pistol, and knuckle knife. Kinda bummed. 
Yeah, that's really lame to advertise it all along and then use the o'l bait and switch routine on that. I mean how many more figures need to come with that gas can now?

Ugh, and in addition to not getting the knife set they're not coming out until November now. Hopefully Walgreens gets them earlier in October.

My finances will be happy for the delay!
I feel like Walgreens will not get them first since they are currently receiving the three Flashback Figures, but I could be wrong.

It's funny, I saw they were cheaper and a Governor was at the front of the pegs, so I didn't think they'd have them. For whatever reason, I guess out of habit, I still went through the pegs and luck I did because Daryl was actually behind Brian and Tyreese.

Hershel's kinda decent, but I don't really need him. Rick is pretty cool, glad that we're finally getting that version.
