Oh it would be awesome but it would also mean that I wasted no telling how many hundreds of dollars on the current figures

I think the next wave is close to hitting retail. I saw the 10" vigilante or vigilant Rick.... whatever it is called..... but it had Beth and T-Dog on the back of the box advertising wave 9.

Just a heads up/reminder on the loot crates, you need to cancel your subscription if you don't want more crates coming monthly. The 1 month crate isn't just 1 crate, it's a sub that charges monthly.

The new Mcfarlane Red Label Walking Dead figures are 6" style i saw the new packaging in my hand yesterday and it is very similar to the Star Wars Black Label packaging.

NYTF 16: Reveals and Announcements!

I like the 7" figures of Rick and Michonne, but making FTWD 7" instead of the traditional 5" was a very dumb move. Travis is hardly the main character from that show and a walking pose isn't going "WOW" on the shelf. Should have been an articulated 5" figure. Rick and Michonne are like what I invisioned McFarlane doing with the license from the begining so its kind cool seeing them back to their roots.

New 5" Daryl and bike is nice as is the 10" Glenn. NOT a fan of the bobble heads. Just no need. And making lots of fan demanded figures in the 5" line as the lead-in figures for this line is just a kick to the nuts. Shane? Aaron? Beth? Geez. Where were these figures for the original line?

If the color tops are used for the waves, it will be nice and easy to spot a new wave on the pegs, so I do like that idea. Beats digging thru the pegs every time to see if there is a hidden on in there. Not sure how well some of these will move though. Rick and Michonne, for sure! Travis, nope.

I sure how we still get some new 5" TV wave and building sets at the actual Toy Fair. We know there is at least the comic wave coming with the severed heads teaser.

This can't be everything since they showed that comic book severed head group in their Toy Fair teasers. There has to be that at the very least.

A rep has been answering questions on the McFarlane Facebook page. Basically series 10 onwards is 7 inch. The previous 9 waves are all out of scale now. The comic series will remain at 5 inches but the tv series is going to be basically 7 inch statues with more detail.

What a way to **** fans and customers over. The rep is getting torn a new one and has stopped replying.

You gotta be kidding me? Seriously!!! They are going to now start with this 7" inch crap after 5" line has been out for years?

What the **** is wrong with them? I hope the people continue to ***** them out and not buy any 7" product until they bring back the 5" line. So many characters we will never get now. So many variations we will never get now.

Why would they do this?

Whelp

We will be continuing the Comic line in 5", but the TV line will be transitioned to a 7" Collector Series after series 9. Although, the Daryl on New Bike will be in scale with the originals. There was discussion of continuing the 5" for specials and exclusives, but nothing confirmed for that.

As for the "Big Heads", those are not bobble heads. The figures are for the construction sets, but now come with a stylized "Big Head". As it is planned now, it will also come with a standard sized head so you can still add them to your construction universe and dioramas. We felt this was a really fun way to spruce up the blind-bag figures (Which will no longer be blind-bagged). They will be sold in small display cases too, as shown in the images from Toy Fair. Now you know exactly which characters you are buying.

Mcfarlane can go **** themselves with those 7" figures. After reading through Facebook.... they give no reason why. I won't be buying any. I guess my collection for Walking Dead is done.

Wtf wtf wtf.

Not only its 7 inches. It's not even articulated.

This really sucks!

They gotta be trolling us. No new 5" line? And that bobble head explanation for the construction sets is just bizarre... Unless that's their way of making those sets more expensive.

Just found out it's 15 points of articulation.

I already collect both tv and comic series plus the 10" line. As well as 1/6 scaled versions.

Screw that 7" line. I can understand if it's for their new licenses or a one off limited flashback collection or something like that.

However to replace series 10 onwards, that is BS.

I think this sums up the situation pretty well

I would have gladly supported an ADDITIONAL 7" line. 7" in place of the 5" line is beyond stupid. Why erase YEARS of work now? Most people were expecting something like this 7" line from the START and the 5" line was a WTF move then. Now doing the 7" line is the WTF move. I really hope this negative criticism reaches them so strongly they change their plans of killing of the 5" line before Toy Fair even ends.

I'm really torn on what to do in protest. Do we not buy series 9 because its pointless now? Do we buy 9 and not the 7" line to show the 5" support? Buy the crap out the Daryl Motorcycle set? What?!? :dunno

I have absolutely zero idea what is going to be in that Loot Crate next week now. Big head mini figure? One of our last 5" figures? :panic:
