Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Hate to see that people dislike Big Boss. While he may not be written as well as he could be, I still find the character and his history very interesting.

I don't think any of us dislike Big Boss. Just Kojima's overuse of him. He used to be this mythical character in the series. But, now we know more about him than Solid Snake :slap.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Anybody would like to know more about the Boss? The tapes in PW really make her sound bad ***.

MGS5 was originally planned as a World War II game staring the Boss. It may happen eventually. Anything besides Big Boss is welcome in my book.

And now, the only mythical character we have left is the Boss, you're right, I don't need to know any more about her, maybe one little teeny tiny game.

Yeah I heard rumors about it, I would like that game but the idea of exploring the last mysterious character made me change my mind a little at this very moment lol.

It's like those rumors about a Boba Fett or Han Solo movies.

But I'm still curious.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

WTF is this I heard about Hayter not voicing Snake!? This cannot be true but if it is,there better be a very good reason. Kojima trolling us????

Just isn't worth the time anymore investing in the MGS story, too bat **** convoluted at this point.

I never have had a clue what the hell is going on these games or series and who is who etc. Big boss, Solidus Snake, Solid Snake, Clones etc etc lol
I have no idea WTF is going on , or timelines etc lol

I just remember having a blast playing MGS1 and MGS2 ages ago, dabbled in 3 and 4, and that's about it.

No clue about what's going on or remember who is who lol

THen again, I'm not a hardcore MG fan.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I just really want a Solid Snake game that takes place between MGS1-2 or 2-4. It's funny how A.I Campbell told many stories about him post Shadow Moses but we never got a reference to those ever since.

I just really wanted Kojima to say it out loud to us fans what's wrong with making a Solid Snake game!

Like you are going to dare to skip the cut scenes lol.

I dare you, I double dare you.

He'll get there, he'll get there, he's just taking his time, it's inevitable to get there, there's just more to explain about Big Boss than about Solid.

I'm willing to admit that if after this, Kojima doesn't make a Solid Snake game, he's crazy as ****, but not yet, every game so far is justified and it's worthy of praise on most aspects.

Anyone saw the Gametrailers interview? Finally, Kojima has confirmed the creative decision to not include David Hayter.

Wow, Kojima. Just wow.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

And his explanation about why is not clear, cause I think the Japanese version has the same voice actor...

I can understand the hate on these Big Boss games simply because the hardcore fans are longing for Solid Snake as the protagonist. I just hope Solid plays a cameo or even can be a playable character in any of the games (GZ other TPP).

Also, Peace Walker won "Game of the Year" awards for the PSP platform, and I thoroughly enjoyed it (more than 300 hours of gameplay). Knowing that MGS fans didn't really like the story, and still winning awards, says a lot about how awesome an MGS game can be of both the story and gameplay is well thought out.

As weird as it sounds, that almost makes me want to boycott. To me David Hayter is just as much Solid Snake and MGS as anything else. That's a huge disappointment.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I hope so. You can't just replace the voice of Snake after all these years. I thought that the Japanese were very dedicated to keeping the same voice actors to the point of writing out characters if a voice actor was unavailable or had passed away. Of course, I could be generalizing, I don't know much.. Anyway, I'm still excited.. just less so until I know for sure what's going on.
