Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Is it just me or it's really not that open world?.. based on the demo it looks like levels were designed to look like the stages in the 1st tenchu games where you are placed in a open map and you have the freedom on to approach the goal any direction you like. When they said it to be open world i was expecting somethign ala GTA whee you go to parts of an massively open world..

Well basing on the demo it looks like they’ll have lots of different maps patched together and you’ll travel with a menu like PW

Yea, I think you’re right. I recall Kojima in an interview saying that its not open world like we are use to. I think the levels could be huge sandbox levels, something like Hitman but a lot bigger.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

A majority of the fans I have seen have been loving what they have been seeing. What exactly about the story looks terrible?

Facebook fans? :lol

I've talked about it until I was blue in the face. I'm sure you can find it in this thread.

Actually every site I have been on, this has gotten nothing but praise, and has won plenty of most wanted awards already. Mgsforum.net, Gamespot, Ign, Kotaku. have a look. I understand you’re hurt because Hayter isn’t in this, and Solid isn’t the main character, but no need to act like this is the worst game ever made.

:exactly:

It goes beyond Hayter. It goes to the convoluted BS story. And those websites are good critics? They're all paid off ****ty sites who have no redeeming value to any of them. I used to think Famitsu was a reliable source until they started giving really ****ty games 40/40.

I’m not talking about the writers on those sites, I’m talking about their forum communities. MGSforums is a place for the hardcore MGS fan, and they are even liking what they are seeing. The overall story is convoluted, but that was even before this game.

MGSforums is a cesspool.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

You would prefer Hater Yes-Men right?

Dude STFU already with your preaching, seriously. You're just trying to instigate another ****ing argument.

You bring nothing to this thread by the constant stroking of the shaft of MGSV and you constantly are butting heads with everyone because we don't want this game.

So, just because a lot of Internet happens to like this, means that we should surrender our minds to an ad populum belief system? It's no surprise that any critiques of MGS on the net (and I mean real critiques from actual fans), tend to be drowned out en mass. We're a smaller community on SSF, so that's why a lot different views get expressed here.

Thats, fine, I am not saying you have to agree with anyone, but to act like I’m insane for thinking the game looks great, while a majority of fans also think is looks great has me a little confused. I can understand if I was saying something that nobody would agree with.

And now, everyone who likes this game is now Koji Yes-Men? :slap

That name sounds like a 10 year old made it up

I am instigating an argument? I could have sworn that you said I was taking drugs :cuckoo:

I’m butting heads with anyone who insults me you ape :slap

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

You make it more and more obvious you're a noob to SSF.

Sorry I’m not some gif master who already has pics on deck for whatever someone is going to say.

If you don’t like my optimistic opinions on this game then don’t react to what I’m saying. Its like you have an OCD to attack someone who isn’t in love with David Hayter :monkey1
